Dan does Journal (Part II)... This IS NOT a diary...

Hola Journ, It's Dan. Back for another evnin of journal writin. Yee haw. So priviledged am I.

Well, today Brian and I didn't awake until laaate. I guess it was around 3 or so until we finally got up and nearly 4 until we were all showered up ready to go. Where did we go you may ask? The AU-themed McDonalds. We each got a chicken mcnugget value meal. How many chicken mcnuggets you may ask. TEN. That's right, TEN. Much better than the standard (and quite measly)six given we are used to. Although, it was mutually agreed that six is juuuuuuust right. Ten is unnecessary and downright wasteful.

Then we came back here and hung out for a bit. Then it was off to bowl. We went to this ghettoish place in Virginia (next to a sketchy Safeway supermarket). Of course, it was an AMF. Woooo Hooo. We had to wait for a bit for a lane and Brian had to use the bathroom. So he went to use the ghetto bathroom in the ghetto bowling alley. Well, he came out looking quite distressed. I was wondering what happened... no soap left? smelly bathroom? scary homeless man taking up the toilet (like in Starbucks?)???? The correct answer is.... (D) none of the above. He had, in fact, DROPPED HIS CELL PHONE IN THE TOILET. It had slid off his belt and..kerplunk...fell into the ghetto water in the ghetto toilet in the ghetto bathroom in the ghetto bowling alley. Well it didn't work for a looong time and we were very upset. It was flashing oddly and said the battery was charging. Oddness.

So we bowled next to these obnoxious 13 year old girls. Must have been 8 of them. Ugh. So crazy. I feared them. One was especially obnoxious and kept clapping in our faces and saying "Good luck." Craziness. Oddly enough, they didn't think it at all weird that Brian had put his cell phone on the hand dryer on the bowling ball rack thingy. Weird. Anyway...

We bowled three games and had a great time. Then, when done, we decided to be rebellious (a difficult thing for goody goody mama boys like we are). We had prepaid for bowling so we decided to walk out with our bowling shoes. Something both of us had wanted to do forever. FOR-EV-ER. FOR-EV-ER. Yeah, Sandlot. Anyway, we spent minutes discussing our plan and worried that we were being watched by a video camera (a ghetto one, at that). Paranoid, party of two, your padded cell is ready. But we did it. We got out with niiiice bowling shoes. YEAH!!!!!

On the way home I held Brian's still broken phone up to the heating vent the entire time (except when I tried to take a picture of the Pentagon as we were passing it). When we got back to AU we tried it and it worked! Oh and he did Clorox it so don't be afraid to touch it. The down volume button was still troublesome, but hopefully it'll be better by tomorrow. Then we got back here, watched some game show network then ordered pizza from Manny and Olga's (the difference IS delicious). They even gave us a free magnet! TUMS-TUMS-TUMSTUMS to the rescueeee...

So here I am now writing in the diary. Watching Greed. Attempting to fend off Brian's distracting ways. Now it's time to watch some Gilligan's Island!!!

Unfortunately, Brian is going home tomorrow. And I am sooooooo sad. We had such an incredible time. It was GREAT! WoOoOoHoOoO.... Well, I'll be home in less than two weeks. Can't wait to hang out with those of you back on the island!

Goodnight... Sleep tight... Pleasant dreams to you... Here's a wish... and a prayer... that all your dreams come true... Sorry that was a lil Lawrence Welk flashback (used to watch it with my grandma :) ) Ok, all..... GNIGHT!
