Hey Journal!

Well, at least we got a day off from work today. Otherwise today, and the rest of the Memorial Day Weekend was a real bust. The weather was shitty and it did not feel like summer at all. It didn't even feel like spring.

We got up at about 9:30, tended to the pool, and then got ready to go out for breakfast. The pool level was too low and we couldn't backwash. Also, sadly, the pool was a minty green -- pretty much the same as it was last night. We've kinda hit a wall. Dan put more chlorine in late, but I think it's going to be a few more days before the pool is under control.

We met Dan's parents at IHOP at 10:30 and we had a nice breakfast. IHOP was PACKED today. I can't believe it -- I didn't expect it to be such a zoo. I guess everyone was depressed about not being about to have nice BBQs or anything to do outside so they all went to IHOP.

After breakfast we went back to Dan's parents' house and looked at all of their trip. I helped them take their pictures off their phone/camera and put them onto the computer.

We were there until about 1:00 and then we headed home to tend to the pool. We had to put more water in the pool and then, once the levels were right, we were able to backwash again.

In the meantime, and afterwards, too... we watched more episodes of Parenthood. We're about 9 episodes in now.

I did some laundry, we hung around, and basically just took it easy today.

I showered up, we watched more Parenthood, and now we're just about ready for bed. Not only is tonight depressing because it's back to work tomorrow after a three day weekend, but it's also the end of a really peaceful and enjoyable two weeks without any distractions or insanity in my office. It was a nice time with quiet, calm, and sensibility. All good things must come to an end, though.

Now it's time for bed. Until tomorrow...
