"cold mdw" or "let the pool filtering begin"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up at 10:00 when my mom called to see if we wanted to go to breakfast. We decided to meet at Javier's at 10:45!

After breakfast, Dan and I went over to Leslie's to get a new bag of DE and some soda ash. I like to call it mountain ash!

When we got home, we backwashed the pool and vacuumed the shit off the bottom! There was a ton of gross, green algae and I think it was a good idea to just flush it out to waste rather than letting it get caught in the filter and having to keep backwashing!

The contraption we created to replace the old backwash hose if working perfectly! It makes so much more sense than that stupid flexible hose!

Next, we went back out to Leslie's to test the water and then went to Chipotle for lunch.

We took a walk around the mall, and then returned home. We had to put MORE soda ash into the pool... it's ridiculous!

When we got home, we started watching the show Parenthood! Re had recommended it to us, and we decided to give it a try!

Now it's time for bed! Until tomorrow...
