"flea markets and antiques"

Hey Journal!

We'rehome from our weekend adventure and boy are we exhausted! I had wanted to get home a bit earlier but one thing led to another and we had a great day! Luckily, we didn't hit any traffic!

We got up this morning at 8:30. Dan snored a lot last night which was really unfortunate! I woke up in the middle of the night with my ear ringing a lot and I don't know why.

Anyway, we had breakfast at the hotel . We went down and got our food, I made myself a waffle and had some eggs, sausage, and cereal. We ate in the "Liberty Room" because the main eating area was pretty packed.

Next, we came back to the room, packed up our belongings, and then headed to the car. The plan was to go to a place called DC Sports to play mini-golf. Their website was quite confusing because in big letters at the top, it said "OPEN DAILY 9AM - 9PM" but lower down on the page, it said Sunday-Thursday 10AM-10PM and Friday and Saturday 10AM-11PM. Turns out, neither were right. Sunday was actually 10AM-9PM!

The website DID have a jingle, though! It was pretty neat and got us in the mood for some fun.

The mini golf course was cool, we had a good time and played a good game! Dan won, of course, and I came in a close second. I was really close for a while... maybe even in the lead at one point... but it didn't stick.

After that, we went over to the Bumper Boats. Connor and Cameron did that for about ten minutes and got soaked by the waterfalls and water buckets and stuff!

When we were done, we went to get gas as Speedway and we got some slushy drinks there. They had a special...69 cents for ANY SIZE! We all got the GIANT size. Of course.

Our next stop was a crazy Flea Market. They had an outdoor sale going on in the parking lot but the real treasures were inside! There were rows and rows of crazy booths with nothing but old junk in them! It was really something else. Connor was in trouble for having spilled his drink on Cameron's foot in the car!

We perused the weird items for sale and there was one booth with a wild woman named Marilyn. She had signs all of the place asking you to "ask marilyn" if you had any questions. She approached us, "I see you're looking at the unicycle! Pretty neat, huh?" And then she did the same thing to some other guy, "I see you're looking at the _____.... Pretty neat, huh?!" It was wild.

After we were flead out, then we headed to Cold Spring to check out the antiques store and have lunch. While we were there, we decided to stop by and say hello to Aunt Chickie!

I called her first but she didn't answer so we just swung by and pulled into the driveway. Dan and I got out and sure enough she opened the door and we all came in to say Hello! We hung out there for about 20 minutes or so and Aunt Chickie told us a great story about how she would collect shells on the beach and put them in her bathing suit...and some of them had living creatures inside that started to crawl around!

We left the car parked there and then walked down to Main Street. We checked out the stores and went to the river. We did some Pokemon Go stuff and then we headed back up to have lunch. We tried to go to the place Dan likes called Hudson Hil's but AGAIN, it was not meant to be. They had a 45 minute wait. We tried a place up the street, too... but they were the same.

We walked back to Aunt Chickie's house, said hello again, and hung out for about 15 minutes longer. Aunt Chickie is the greatest! We need to take a trip up there and spend some more time!

We headed out in search of lunch and we stopped at a place called The Stadium on the way home. It was an interesting place with lots of sports memorabilia inside. I got the Steak Frites for lunch.

After that it was smooth sailing the rest of the way home! We arrived at Linda's around 6:30ish and then Dan and I drove the rest of the way home. I think we got home around 7 and we took a short 20 minute walk around the block.

I showered up and then we watched an episode of Parenthood before tonight's Game of Thrones! Tonight's GOT episode was very good! I felt like it was exciting, a lot happened... just what I look forward to. There are also a lot of things I want to see what happens next... and I'm excited for next week. Sadly, there are just three more episodes this season. Blah.

Now it's time for bed! Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
