Hey Journal!

Wow! Today we had a really really busy and crazy day but I feel like we did so much! I can't believe it's 2am!

This morning we got up at 9:00 and got ready for breakfast with Kristen! She came to pick us up at 9:30 with Guy and we met her friend Stephanie and her husband at Relish! It was surprising because the parking lot was packed but there was nobody waiting and no wait for a table! I got the Kingsman today and substituted the special pancake for Dan and I to share. It was a chocolate chip pancake with cookie dough on top and some chocolate and vanilla syrup on top! It was okay, but not was good as I imagined, and definitely not as good as Phonefetti!

Breakfast was fun, it was nice seeing everyone. When we left, we planned to stop at the tree lot up the street because Guy still didn't have a tree! As we were walking to the car it started raining really hard so we aborted the mission, though Kristen and Guy went back later once the rains had stopped!

After they dropped us off at home we left to go pick up Julio. We got to his house around 12:15 and we didn't have a plan but we drove, wound up in Sayville and stopped at Starbucks. We sat there for a while and talked and caught up on life!

After that, we went to the golf course because I wanted to see if there was any more food left up for grabs! Sadly there wasn't much but I did take some expiring soon potato chips and Julio got some goat cheese, butter, and other random items.

I gave him a tour of the clubhouse and then he wanted to take a ride out on the course. We took a golf cart out and drove all over! When we got back we took some photos and then headed off to our next destination.

We decided to go to Dave and Dee's annual foreign student Christmas Party and so we planned to stop at Price Club to get some food to bring.

On the way, we made a stop at the Long Island welcome center because Julio had never been. It's a requirement that all Long Islanders go there and check it out at least once.

At Costco we got Mac and cheese, some appetizers, and other stuff Julio wanted to bring to the party.

Dan and I got a bag of those flat pretzels that Mikey brought over last night. I had never had them before and they were pretty good!

We got back to our house at about 5:15 and we hung out there for a bit. Julio and I ate some leftover baked ziti and we watched some videos on the TV that Julio wanted to show us.

We also discussed the possibility of going on a vacation to Hawaii! It's funny because Hawaii was always a place I wanted to visit but because it's so far it never really seriously came up. Now we're gonna look more into it and Julio wants to go, too.

We left our house a little before 6 and went to Dave and Dees! We got there at 6:45 which was good timing because they were just preparing the food. We eat the foreign nationals and then we were enlisted to help decorate the tree.

After the tree, we all colored ornaments! It was very fun. We ate after that and sat around the table having a "Jeffersonian" dinner where Julio asked questions and only one person spoke while everyone else listened!

Dave and Dee wanted to watch It's a Wonderful Life after dinner and nobody besides them had ever seen it! We watched the first 5 minutes or so but then we went in the other room to talk and hang out.

Julio's friend Sam was there, too, and we talked to Julio for a while and we were asking Julio a bunch of questions about his dating life.

We said goodbye to Dave and Dee at about 11:00 and Sam brought Julio home and we went to Jen B's house because she was having a Christmas gathering tonight. When we arrived, they were all watching the best movie of all time, Babes in Toyland! It was just at the beginning of the Toyland part.

After about 30 minutes or so, everyone left except for me and Dan and we stayed for a little bit longer to talk to Jen B and Lisa. We stayed until about 1am and then headed home.

There is a house nearby Jen B's that has a crazy lit snowman decoration hanging high up in a tree! It's incredible. We stopped to take a picture of it but it just looks like a blur! It looks like the moon in the photo but in person it's absolutely amazing. I only wish we had a tree so tall that we could do the same thing.

When we got home around 1:15 we showered up and now we are off to bed! Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
