"allentown or bust." or "wegmans" or "waterfall" or "ron-stoppable"

Hey Journal!

So I must update you on our Saturday of fun. We got up and Dan went to the gym, I watched some TV, and then we had bagels, and departed to visit Kristen and Don!

So, the ride wasn't bad at all, and took a little over 2 hours. We arrived in good old Allentown, PA at about 2:00.

We hung out for a little while, got the grand tour of their new apartment, and then went for lunch at the Trivet Dinner. It was quite an experience. A nice diner, but some of the other patrons were a sight to see! lol I got the Beef Stroganoff and Vegetable soup. It was most enjoyable.

We then went to everyone's favorite store... Wegmans! It really is wonderful, and I am most saddened that we don't have one on Long Island. If we did, I would be there every day. First thing I did there was go to the bathroom. In the bathroom, they had several Wegmans brand foaming hand soaps. I tried the Gingerbread after using the facilities, and I loved it. I wanted to buy it, and conveniently enough, as I excited the restroom, there was a wonderful display of the aforementioned soaps! I could not resist.

We went back to their apartment, and when we arrived, we noticed that something was wrong. That something was that the sink had overflowed and sent a ridiculous amount of water all over the kitchen floor, which was miraculously absorbed by a large outdoor rug that was in the kitchen! It was insane, the entire counter was wet, and we later discovered that one of the kitchen drawers was COMPLETELY full of water. It was like a pool!

We had to wait for Ron, the AMAZING maintenance guy to come. He took a while, but when he arrived, it was worth the wait. He was so weird, yet so cool. He had this aloof...calm attitude about everything, but he was really nice, and got everything cleaned up. He did, however, suck up two wiener dog corn-on-the-cob holders into his shop vac! It was tragic. lol

Long story short, although there was n explanation for the crazy flooding, Ron did what he could, and we then went out for dinner to the Bethlehem Brew House. It was very enjoyable... I got the chicken pot pie, which had no pie-like qualities.

We then took a tour of Lehigh, and other sights. We saw the Bethlehem Star. lol

We then went back and hung out until 2am, when we called it a night!

I shall return later, with a Sunday briefing!

Adios. :)
