"century 21" or "oscar"

Hey Journal!

Happy Oscar Night.

This morning I got up at about 9:30, and watched some TV. It was rainy out, and we didn't really know what we wanted to do. So, we did the same thing we always do.. only put a different spin on it. We went to the mall to walk around! But the SPIN was that we went to Roosevelt Field!

And we did just that... walked around. It was good, got out of the house.. but very uneventful. Then on the way back, we passed the department store, "Century 21" and we were commenting on how Debbie (who I used to work with) loved to go there... so we decided to see what the heck it was! It was actually nicer than my expectations of it, but it was a little weird. They had lots of brand name clothes and what they called "Discount Prices"... and I think they were... but it was a little bit old school, and a little bit messy... but I think you could find some good stuff there if you wanted.

Dan got a pair of Sandals for our cruise, and he had wanted to get the same kind in the mall, but they were $48, and he didn't think it was worth it for sandals!! So here, they were $24! They didn't have the exact same color as in the mall, but they were the same style. So he got them.

The guy who rung us up was so weird, he didn't say a WORD the whole time, which came off as really rude, until the very end when a survey printed out on the receipt. He asked if we would take it, and then he took it from Dan's hand and walked him over to a computer to take the survey right then in there. Needless to say, on the question about how our checkout was, we gave it a "below my expectation." He then gave us two key chains, which were boxing mitts with "Century 21" printed on them. They were really crappy!

Anyway, after that we got lunch at Pizza Hut/Taco Bell, but had to wait for the cheese pizzas. There was a line forming for the cheese pizzas after the driveup.

When we got home, we watched the movie Crash, which we have had from Netflix for months, and it's funny... this weekend we've gone through all three that we had. Now we're dropping down to the two at a time program, cause we just don't watch enough. :(

So then it was Oscar time... we watched the whole ting, and it was alight.. I liked it.. but I wasn't blown away. I really have no other comments about it!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
