Hey Journal!

Today we had another fun and exciting day in Canada! We got up this morning at 8:45 and I was extremely refreshed from our long day yesterday! In fact, I woke up at about 4am to go to the bathroom and after I went, I looked at the time. I already felt rested and I was so excited that it was only 4am and I had more than half of my night in front of me!

I woke up again at 7 and again at 8, and both times I was so happy that I still had plenty more time!

When we all got up, we got ready for our day and headed out for breakfast. We walked up the street to Tim Horton's and got food. I got an egg, sausage, and biscuit and Dan and I split a box of 10 Timbits! Love Timbits!

Next we walked back to the hotel and got our stuff together to go jetboating! We drove to the meeting point and then we had to get on a bus to take us to the dock. Our bus driver was wild. When we arrived, we put our things into lockers and then got lifejackets and boarded the boats!

When we first left the dock, we went into the river and did some 360 degree spins and then headed down to the whirlpools. We went in and out of the waves and the water just kept coming into the boat! It was a really cool thing to do!

The water was pretty warm as it splashed over us! It was a little chilly when we would move because of the wind, but it wasn't that bad at all. Re wore a giant yellow poncho thing to protect from the wind, but me, Dan, and Lau did not.

After it was over, we got changed in the changing rooms and then checked out the pictures they had taken during the trip. There was one that was hysterical...with me with my cheeks puffed up and Lau with her hand up in front of her face! It was a good one, but we didn't purchase it.

When it was time to get on the bus, our driver and the bus randomly disappeared. The rumor spreading around was that another bus had broken down and he had to go help them. Ugh! Really? At first it wasn't that big of a deal, but after about 40 minutes the natives were starting to get restless. Everyone was mumbling about it and you could see it was getting a bit annoying.

Finally, a bus arrived and we headed back. I was pretty tired after this, but I soon got a second wind.

We headed back to the hotel and each took a quick (under 5 minutes each) shower and then got ready to go to Toronto for the afternoon.

On our way, we were hungry for lunch so we kept our eyes open for something on the side of the road. The first thing we saw was a Buffalo Wild Wings and we all decided that we'd like to go there. We got off at the next exit, but finding it was a bit of a challenge. We got a little turned around and a little lost. We were down a residential street and stumbled upon a man walking two dogs and asked him for directions. He was nice, and knew exactly how to get there. He gave us VERY detailed directions and we were extremely thankful when we arrived!

We had lunch and played Buzztime trivia! Me and Dan played together on my phone and Re and Lau challenged us, playing with the handheld device.

Dan and I won the first game, and then for the second game we all decided to work together to beat the high scores of the month. We actually did pretty well and got 6th place for July at that location.

We continued our trip to Toronto and arrived around 4:00. There was a little traffic in the city because of a "Living Green" festival, but we found some parking and took a walk around. We went to Yonge-Dundas Square, Eaton Centre, and then walked down to the distillery district! We saw two weddings, and everyone looked so nicely dressed for them.

We hung out, took in the scenery, and just enjoyed the day. Next, we walked back. It was a lot of walking... but I'm glad we did it because I didn't go to the gym yesterday or today, so I needed a little activity!

After that, we had planned to hang around Toronto and get some dinner later on and possibly go out for drinks afterwards but because we figured we wouldn't be hungry for a while, we just decided to leave and come back to Niagara.

In a way, I feel like it was a little bit of a waste to drive all the way there to not really do much of anything... but it was nice for Re and Lau to go to Toronto and see what it was like, and it was something to do. There wasn't much or us to do here in Niagara Falls anyway, so it was still good!

We did more MadLibs on the way home, and it POURED for a little while, too! The scattered thunder showers that had been described on the forecast finally happened.

We got back to Niagara Falls around 9:30 and we went to dinner at the Macaroni Grill which was right across the street from our hotel. The food was kinda crappy and overpriced. They also disappointed us because we had a coupon for a "Free Collectible" and the guy said they didn't have anymore. Really? Nasty.

"are you still here? i had no idea you guys were still here! Thats so creepy!" -- Re just woke up from her sleep and said that to me, and then went back to bed! Love it.

After dinner...Dan, Lau, and I walked down to the falls to see them one more time. It was super-misty down there and we only stayed for a few minutes. We were going to go to Dairy Queen on the way back but it was closed, sadly.

So here we are, back at the hotel, and getting to bed! Tomorrow we're getting up at 8:30, having breakfast, and then hitting the road!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
