"more tetons" or "yellowstone"

Hey Journal!

Well, we had another great day in the parks and now we're st a new hotel in Montana.

This morning we woke up at our Airbnb in Wyoming and headed in to Jackson. We had a quick breakfast at McDonald's and then walked around the town before heading to Grand Teton!

Meanwhile, back in Jackson I had two major Pokémon encounters! I got a really high cp Lapras AND I finally found a Snorlax!! Amazing!

We headed in to the park and made our way up the outer side of the loop going the opposite way we did yesterday. Our first stop was the Mormon Barn. It was a cool old house from one of the first settlers of the area.

Next we continued up the road and stopped at the Cunningham Cabin. It was an old cabin from another early settler. It's really small and simple. My mom had shown us photos of her trip in the 70s and she was standing in front of the same cabin!

We then left Grand Tetons and headed into Yellowstone! Our audio guide came with us... we bought the park combo pack! Having this audio guide has been incredible. It gives such great info, stories, and really let's you know what each thing you pass has to offer.

Inside Yellowstone we stopped a couple times to get some pictures but our first real stop was at Colter Bay Village. We walked around and then headed to the Grant Visitor Center!

We explored that a little and then headed to West Thumb where we saw our first hot springs! It was pretty neat! This area of hot springs was right beside a large cold lake. So wild!

After that, the plan was to go to our hotel but we stopped at a few more interesting things, one being Biscuit Basin! We were gonna do that tomorrow but we saw a big bison nearby and thought it would be cool to get some pics.

There we saw lots more hot springs and small geysers.

Then we left the park and headed to West Yellowstone, Montana. This part of Montana is right on the border of Wyoming and the park.

We got to our hotel, the Evergreen Lodge, and checked in. The room is small but perfect for what we need. It's nicely decorated and is close to everything.

We walked around to find a nice place for dinner and we decided on a place called Three Bear Restaurant. We both got the pot roast and it was really good but also very salty.

On the way back we got McFlurries abe then we came back, showered up and ready for bed!

To update on my pain situation-- we spent some time in the car today but I worked really hard to find a position that would not hurt my leg and also would allow me to see out the car window!

I did well by towards the end of the day's route it started to bother me. After we got out at the hotel and I rested up a bit, I got weird zapping, zinging pains in my butt. I hadn't gotten these before but it happened both yesterday AND today! I don't know what it is but it's painful!

Thy subsided after a while and now I'm feeling much better. Tomorrow we don't have a lot of car planned so that should make things easier on my butt!

Anyway, we're planning to get up early tomorrow and out to see Old Faithful!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
