"escape room park city" or "gyms are now open"

Hey Journal!

Today we spent the day in Park City, UT! We got up around 8:30 or so and got ready to go out to breakfast. We went to place Dan found online called No Worries Grill. The food was great! I got Chicken Fried Steak with two eggs and hash browns.

This was REALLY weird, but the taste of the chicken fried steak was EXACTLY like the old McDonald's Chicken McNuggets from when we were little! It's like that taste was store away somewhere deep in my memory and as soon as I ate this, it came flooding back!

After breakfast we decided to go to the Olympic Park from the 2002 Winter Olympics! We drove up a big mountain and came upon how bobsled course! It was really wild. They have repurposed a lot of the Olympic things, and they currently use the bobsled course... but it looks like they haven't updated it at all.... the scoreboard was the exact same one they used... not new and technologically advanced... it was perfect. I loved it.

We walked around there and watched some people doing ski jumps into a pool and then we headed out and drove to the Main Street area of Park City.

It's very old fashioned looking and also very expensive. We walked around for a while and we booked an Escape Room for 3:00.

At about 1:30, we were sitting down killing some time before the Escape Room and I noticed this interesting place nextdoor. It's was.a museum of Park City. They charged $10 admission but we got the $8 student rate!

The museum was actually much better than I expected it to be. It was really well set up and had lots of cool and interesting exhibits.

As we were paying, I noticed that the Pokémon Gyms had now reopened! I hurried to secure a few close-by ones! It was craziness with them all up for grabs!

Anyway, we checked out the museum and then headed to the escape room. We were paired with a group of four people from Reno, NV. They were Roman, Tracy, Tanner, and Terran.

The room we did was the Travel Office. We had to find out where the guy was going on vacation and unlock the door to escape.

We had 45 minutes and it went really quickly! We had a lot of fun -- and there were a lot of cool and tricky things that we all figured out by working together. There were theses magnets that had to be arranged on a map but that was really confusing at first. Then we found these clothes that fit on a mannequin but they had holes in them and through the holes you could find clues written on the mannequin.

We had a phone number we had to call which had some trivia questions we had to answer. One of them was to identify the word "trombone" in French! I knew that trombones are PAPER CLIPS from the boxes of paper clips we have in the office at work! We always joke about it.

Anyway, time flew by and we managed to escape with 6 minutes and 54 seconds to spare! The guy said that was pretty impressive. I don't know if he just tells everyone that.

We took a group photo and then said goodbye to our new friends from Reno.

We were hungry for lunch so we went to this Pizza place on the Main Street called Main Street Pizza and Noodle.

I got spaghetti and meatballs but it was a really small portion and wayyyy overpriced.

Next we came back to the hotel and relaxed for a while. We went in the pool and hot tub and just really took it easy tonight.

We got back to the room, showered up, and now it's time to get to sleep!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
