"tree up" or "plot count"

Hey Journal!

Tonight we erected our Christmas tree and put the light on! It came out looking great. As was the case last year, tit looked very sparse as we were setting it up and I was worried that it wouldn't look good! However, once all the branches were opened up, it looked much better and after putting the lights on, it's starting to look like a Christmas tree should!

We're going to save the decorating for tomorrow. We're doing a little bit each night!

After that, we watched some TV. We watched Sunday's episode of Shameless followed by part 5 of this long episode of Major Crimes! I'm happy it's over because I like their one-episode cases much better. The only thing that should cross shows is their personal arcs. I don't like these drawn out cases, especially when the ending doesn't really make any sense. Like, the guy who they arrested at the end -- it didn't really explain why the guy kidnapped the other kids, took them to Mexico, it was just a little too loose.

Since this is the final season of Major Crimes, I really really hope they wrap everything up nicely and, as unlikely as it may be, I really hope that ex-Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson makes an appearance. The Philip Stroh thing is going to come to a head before the season is over and it's yet another perfect opportunity for her to pop her head in. And, although she has never been on Major Crimes, it would be a perfect way to wrap up The Closer / Major Crimes series. This show has been on so long and has been so great. It deserves a really well thought out ending a real look back at how we got where we are!

Work today was good, nothing out of the ordinary. I had the Sierra Panini for lunch today -- hold the Sierra! I checked the website to see the specials and tried to order the ravioli but I found out that the specials from last week were still posted!

On the way home from work I had to stop to get gas in my car because it was super-low. It said I had only 14 miles left.

I also forgot to mention that this morning Karen and I had a meeting at the cemetery. We had to go over some church stuff. There was a discrepancy as to how many plots are left for sale and once we had cleared that up we wanted to talk about how to proceed. The end result was that we are going to see if we can get the remaining scattered plots moved to a more contiguous section and, if we can, we will stop the individual sales through the billing center. if not, we keep going with the individual sales and it will most likely take many years more.

Alas, I did some laundry tonight because I was completely out of undershirts and we had SpaghettiOs for dinner!

Now it's time for bed! Dan is going to stay home from work tomorrow and plans to rake the yard and get some other stuff done.

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
