"sound the shofar" or "rug samples"

Hola Journal!

I went to work this morning at 9:00.. The day went by semi-fast, but there was one snag that slowed it down considerable. The snag, you ask, why.. It was the fact that the Internet went down at 9:30 and didn't come back till 3! Sheesh! It was shear torture without it!

So I left at 4 today to give myself some time to get ready for tonight, and just to relax a little. I emailed more member stuff, and that was that.

I came home and watched some Jeopardy, Ken did a stupendous job of killing his newest rivals. My mom bought us a great chinese feast, WonTon Soup, PFR, Chicken Balls, Chinese Tea!! MMM, so good. We ate, and then I took a shower, and off I went when Dan arrived to collect me.

We went to a paint store to pick out paint for his room in the basement, but alas, it closed at six, and we were out of luck.

We went back to Dan's, looked at the basment for a little bit, and the painter is coming tomorrow!! WOO! So we then went to Home Depot with Dan's mom to look at colors and carpets. They already have the carpet for the basement, but he picked out a nice one for his room. It took a while, we looked at samples, and room models on the computer, and hit eachother with shelf padding. LoL! We then STUMBLED upon a really nice carpet... it's something like Majambo Mint! We took SAMPLES!! AHHH I love it! I have three soft carpet samples!

We picked out cool matching colors, and it's so great that the basement will soon be complete..several months overdue!

We did lots of looking around, and had lots of fun in Home Depot, looking at all the crazy products! Afterwards Dan's mom took us to get ice cream at Friendly's! Very fun!

Then we went back to Dan's...looked at the basement and our samples, and we watched some TV. We watched Judge Judy, and it has a cool new opening sequence! It really is fun! And that just goes to show you, I'm not ALWAYS against change. Change CAN be for the better sometimes.. though, not often! lol

Anyway, we then watched Ken Jennings on Ellen, and then it was time to come back.

I have no school for the next two days! Wed, Thurs, Friday off, becuase the "Shofar has been sounded" (As that card that Kristen, Dan, and I bought for liz says!) Here's to a long weekend for me, and a Happy Jewish New Year for all Jewish people. :)

And now, I say goodnight. Tomorrow = Work whenever I feel like it.. which means probably 11 or 12. Then repeat with Jeopardy, and the like!!
