"dan wins on walk" or "bingo - the place for zippy wings"

Hey Journal!

Today I woke up at about 11:00, and began to watch some of the Price is Right. I took a shower, and then started to get ready to go out. I was watching the West Wing, and all Dan called with very cool news!!

They had just called his name on WALK at 1:00, and he just so happened to be calling his Dad at work, when Diane's sister heard his name, and called Diane at work, who answered the phone when Dan called at 1:04, and told him he had to call!!! So, he hung up and called WALK and won Four tickets to some sort of "Holiday Spectacular" at the Patchogue Theater in...Patchogue. LOL Yes, you must listen...

Anyway, I got ready and went over to Dan's, and then we departed and drove to the WALK Studios to claim the prize! First of all, this radio station is located in the most obscure, random place. No, it's not in an office building, or on a highway... It is located right in the heart of a residential neighborhood. Directly across the street from the front doors is a regular old house. Imagine living RIGHT across the street from WALK. So random. They also have a large antenna tower on the front lawn, which is conveniently located next to some swampy looking grass. I love WALK, Don't get me wrong, but this was strange! LOL

We walked in, and there are large pictures of the "Personalities" on the wall. Then we waited at the little window while the receptionist woman talked on the phone (personal call) for about 5 minutes, which is a long time when you're waiting! lol So she finished up with a little, "I love you.. tell so-and-so I said Hi." Then we told her that Dan had won, and we were here to claim out prize. She was a nice woman, and she went to go get the tickets, but got sidetracked into a personal conversation with another employee in the process. (If you ask me, she a chatterbox lol) Anyway, still, she was nice. The tickets were for the 28th, which of course is our work party day, so we asked if they could be traded in for another day, and she called the general manager, who gave us tickets for the 27th! He was a very nice guy, and he told us that Dan currently has a 1 in 18 chance of winning the $2,500 grand prize, for which the drawing which will be held Friday between 5 and 6. Coolness!

So, We headed back, and on the way we stopped for dinner. We went to Branchinelli's and had a very enjoyable dinner. Dan got the complementary house wine...very nice. lol I got Spaghetti and Meatballs! mmm

Then we returned to his house, where we watch an episode of the West Wing and then left to go play Bingo with Jen B. We stopped to get gas, then back home to get my Bingo markers, then to get Jen B. We arrived at the Bingo Palace and purchased our Admissions. Prices were on the rise tonight.. $35 per person!! Wowzers!

We sat next to a great lady who won two cuute snowmen from the claw machine, and the woman in front of us was wild too. She kept asking Jen B to watch her pocketbook at every intermission! So weird. We had a good time, Jen B started the night off right by winning $50 on the BONANZA round. Good job! Tonight was a biggie, they have three $1000 prizes, unfortunately we didn't win any. :(

The last round, I didn't win, but then I thought I had missed a number, and that I had won, but it turned out I didn't win, so that was good. It was confusing.

It was very icy on our way home, stopped at the bank, deposited checks, dropped off Jen B, and then returned to Dan's to watch one more episode of the West Wing. It was sooo icy out we couldn't even walk up the driveway.. However when I left to go home, it was raining and most of the ice was gone. So that was good.

I am now home, and I must get to bed.. quite tire and it's getting late..

Tomorrow, I don't even know.. LOL
