"cruise: day 7" or "day at sea 2: toga night"

Hey Journal!

This morning we slept late after out super-fun night last night. We got up at about 11:00 and Max made an announcement, "A fair good morning to you all.." and announced some meeting about disembarking in the Theater. We were too lazy, and didn't go.. but Dan's mom did. They also thought you how to tie a toga there. Which comes in handy a little later in the story...

So then Dan and I started getting ready at about 12:00, and went to get some food.

We had lunch at the buffet, some good spaghetti, and the normal stuff too. Then we went to look at the pictures from last night, in the 4th floor lobby area, and then we met Tyler and Amber there. We walked around with them for a bit, and then went out onto the deck. They decided to lay down and get some sun, so we departed to go look for the rest of the group.

Dan and I went got a TODAY program, and looked at what was going on. We went to a little seminar in the Capri Lounge, it was about managing stress in your life. It was 45 mins long and started at 2:00. The lady who gave the talk was a nice old lady, and after it was over we went up to thank her, and she said, "Thank you for coming, I love when young people come!" :) Cause most of the people there were all oldies. Then Dan wanted to go lay out on the deck, and I went to the Italian Lesson in the Grand Bar Salento. It was funny...I learned lots of words. Then after that I went to watch the Costa Cruise Staff show, which was the actual workers of the boat putting on some singing and dancing for us. It was good, this woman from the housekeeping department sang really well, and then a man from the restaurant sang a Phil Collins song.

I left there a little early, because I wanted to watch the game "Coke, Sprite, Fanta" by the pool. After that there was the final dancing session, in the same place. It was so fun. I LOVE that crazy dancing! Then at 5:00 we went for the Quiz in the Grand Bar Salento. It was hard, as usual, and we did not win. "Captain Hook" lady was there, but James...aka Stilts did the reading of the questions today.

It's very upsetting that the cruise is almost over, but even MORE upsetting is that by yesterday, we had all just gotten the hang of EVERYTHING, where to go, when..how the entire ship was laid out, the best ways from here to there, everything that's available to you... and all that.. and now it's over! :( Quite sad.

So anyway, after that we came down to the room, and I started to pack my suitcase... they wanted all luggage by 1am! I packed, and Dan took a nap, then we took showers, and watched some Jeopardy! while getting ready. I went to the Internet Cafe and printed our boarding passes for tomorrow, then returned to the room.

Tonight was TOGA NIGHT. This morning they gave us togas and these little head wrap things, very funny...Even instructions on how to tie a toga!

After the shower, we put on the togas, watched Jeopardy! and went to dinner. There were many people dressed in togas, but those who were not made it a little weird, cause I felt out of place! lol

Dinner was good, I got the chicken breast again today, and chocolate chip ice cream.

After dinner we got changed and went to the show in the Urbino Theater. Tonight was the Roman Talent Show where passengers sang or did whatever, and we got to Clap or Boo to "send them to the lions" or "send them to the midnight buffet!" LOL So, most of them were good... There was this ridiculous old man who stood still and didnt start singing for the longest time.. then finally he sang.. then in the middle of the song he stopped and walked over to the piano and just stared. It was sooo hysterical. He almost got booed off, but we saved him.

After that we were gonna hang with Tyler, but we didn't see him, so we went to the casino, then made a few final walkarounds of the deck. I can't believe this is the last night. We put our luggage outside the door, and they already took it away. It went so fast, this week has been so amazing... all of the people on this cruise have been so nice and fun. Dan hugged Carol goodbye, I would have liked to say goodbye to Anyela.. but we didn't see her.

Oh wait.. I forgot something good... We went to the casino with Dan's mom and dad, and after that headed for bed.. and on the way we walked through the Grand Bar Salento, and this waiter says, "Excuse me... I have to ask you something.. I want to buy you.... buy from you something.." -Me, looking confused- "Can I buy from you your camera case...?" Apparently he can't find this camera case anywhere, and he loves to take pictures, and he is a mountain climber, and this is the perfect case for his camera... And I felt so bad for him, but it was soooo random... and also, there was no way I could take my super-new and super-expensive camera home with no case on the plane, and through the airport, and all of that!

So anyway, we returned to the room, there was a giant pile of luggage all put out by the elevators, and now it's time for bed. Tomorrow we have to be up early, getting breakfast, and then meeting in the Capri Lounge at 8am for disembarking. Ahhh.

I can't believe it's over.. its be so so so so so so so so much fun. <3 Costa Magica. <3 Alfonso, Mary Ann, Anyela, Carol, Arvin, Dominador, Max and everyone else who made this so much fun for us!! :)

Until tomorrow...Goodnight. :)
