"a day of driving" or "cracker barrel"

Hey Journal!

Well, today was a lot of driving. We got up this morning at about 9:00. Kristen had also set her alarm for 9, but it didn't go off. We didn't realize this, so we let her sleep. We took showers, and got ourselves ready.

When Kristen woke up, we had breakfast, and then finished packing up our stuff. A little after 10, we bid her farewell, as we left Northern Virginia and headed home.

We made GREAT time the entire way back except for ONE SPOT. There were no problems the whole way through the DC area, and we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch. I had never been there, and it was wild! I got the chicken and dumplings, and much to my surprise, It was AMAZING. First, our waitress was really nice. Then we ordered our food, and literally 2 minutes later she come back with our plates. She says, "They must've been waiting for ya!"

It was a good time.

It rained the entire way back, and then when we got to the Belt Parkway, BAM. We hit a ton of traffic. Apparently, the road ALWAYS floods when it rains, which begs the question, WHY DON'T THE FIX THE ROAD SO THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN!?

Anyway, after the traffic was over from that, it was smooth sailing once again!

When we got home, we watched some TV, Monday's Kyle XY and The Closer! Kyle XY was good, but Amanda is a little over reactive, and Kyle needs to find a way to tell her the truth about him and Jessie so she doesn't keep freaking out.

Also, next week's preview looked a little crazy!

The Closer was good... Only two episodes left this season! Say it isn't so! I can't believe that!

Anyway, now it's time to get ready for bed. Tomorrow it's back to work! But only for three days, then it's MONTREAL time! :) Woo!
