black friday 2007. the legacy continues.

Hey Journal!

Last night I couldn't do an entry... wayyyy too tired! It was such a full day of craziness!

So let me take you back... Thanksgiving night, we went to bed at 9:00, and woke up at 2am. We got ready, and met at Re's where we picked up Re and Robby. First stop, the diner! We had a yummy breakfast while looking over the circulars!

We then got to JC Penny, our first stop, at about 3:30. We waited in the lobby to avoid the freezing cold outside, and were all crammed in waiting for the store to open! Employees kept coming in and squeezing past us!

When they opened up at 4 it was fairly busy. We looked around, Re had a coat she wanted to get for her mom that was $150 off! Dan wound up buying a new suit there. They also gave out a cool little Mickey Mouse Snow globe thingy as a free gift! :)

Next stop, Best Buy! We arrived at about 4:40, and it opened up at 5! We got at the end of the line and it took a while to get into the store! It was madness! People everywhere, crowds like crazy! lol We found some of the things we were looking for, but Robby was looking for a GPS that was a really good sale, and there were none to be found. We spent a while looking at stuff there, and then we got on line. The line was crazy and weaving all through appliances, but it went relatively quickly. There was a crazy Chinese woman in front of us who MADE the whole experience amazing.

First off, she was hunched over lugging this giant printer box, and a shopping basket with two spools of blank CDs. Then, as we rounded the corner, there was an end cap with this Bissell carpet cleaner solution stuff, and Dan, jokingly, said "Wow!! THAT'S A GREAT DEAL!" So she looks back, and stares at it.. and then as the line starts to move again, she takes one and puts it in her cart!

So, as we're walking, NOW that we noticed this, Dan said that about like three other random items, and every time, her eyes shot to whatever he was talking about... she did NOT want to miss a sale!

Oh.. also while getting on line, we found TWO of the GPS's that Robby had wanted! Someone must have put them down on the side! What great luck!

So anyway, as we approach the registers, the lady looks at her basket, and decided she doesn't want the cleaner. She takes it out and puts it on one of the washing machines. LOL So Dan picks it up and says, "Ahh.. I'm gonna get this!" And she looks at him, and looks at the thing, as if she's thinking she really regretted putting it down! It was so hysterical!

After that we went to Target, 6:00 opening. We got there at like 6:01. It was a madhouse, and only more crazy because EVERYONE had shopping carts ALL OVER. It was madness.

We bought a few random things there.

Then we went to Kohl's to look at their stuff.

It was really a productive morning. We got home around 9am, and I went to sleep...Dan went to the DMV to get his license plates changed.

I got up around 2, and did random stuff around the house... Dan got up at 5... we watched some episodes of House. The first season. The first episode was awful! LOL I'm glad I didn't see that to begin with, I would have hated the show!

Anyway, in the evening Kristen and Don came over, we went bowling, then drove around, got some Starbucks, and then came back to play some Scrabble! :)

It was quite fun. After that we watched some game shows, and they departed at about 2am. So it was late and I didn't get to write my entry!

Anyway, I must get going...
