"memorial day picnic"

Hey Journal!

Today we got up at about 10:30 and had a ton of stuff to do and get ready for our Memorial Day Picnic/ BBQ!

We had breakfast, and then went to pick up Dan's car which we had left last night, when Re drove us home.

Then I came home and got ready and got the stuff we had at home, and Dan went to his house to get some coolers and the portable grill. He also went to 7-11 to get ice!

I got there at 1:00, and was the first one there. The people checking licenses at the gate asked if I wanted one of the new Smithtown stickers, but I totally did not. They are so ugly! For some reason, they decided to ditch the amazing old design, which as stood the test of time for years, with only a color change, and replace it with a hideous HUGE round sticker. Blah! No thanks!

I got up and was upset that our usual spot had been overtaken by a giant tarp, although noone was sitting near it. :(

We set up camp a little ways away. Lau was next to arrive, and then Dan. Soon after, Re and Brad came, followed by Mike and his sister Jamie, Liz, and Jen B and Kristen, and then Robby, Phil, and last but not least... Joey!

It was such a fun day! We started our BBQ and the hamburgers turned out so great! So much better than last year because using the portable grill we finally didn't have to cook on that tin foil! It made them taste so much better!

We ate and hung out, and then had a fun fun fun game of Wiffle Ball! Many did not want to participate (LOSERS!) but those who did enjoyed thoroughly! lol

Later, Mike's other sister Meghan came with Anthony.

We took a walk down the the beach, played with the frisbee, and then then the culminating activity was SMORES!

It was such a nice day out, and it's really fun having everyone together for a whole afternoon of fun. LOL I know I sound crazy, but it really really is fun!!

Anyway, we headed home and I took a shower, watched some TV, Dan and I went over to get some Italian Ices a little while ago, and now I must get to bed!

I have an orthodontist appointment tomorrow! At 8:30 to see about what work would be entailed in getting braces, how long, and how much it will cost!!
