"St. Maarten"

Hey Journal!

We got up this morning around 10:00 and I was sooo soo tired. I looked out the window and saw that we had arrived in St. Maarten. There was a big ship next to us on the dock, and there were all people out on their balconies. We saw one lady checking us out with her binoculars.

We headed out and had breakfast at the buffet. I had french toast, sausage, and some cereal. Then we headed back to the room, got ready, and got off the ship in St. Maaaaaarten.

We had two objectives for St. Maarten, to go to a nice beach, and to go to the beach where airplanes take off and blow people into the water!! So, we took a taxi to Orient Beach, and sat out in the sun, went in the water a little, and then walked along the beach. It was one of those really nice white sandy beaches with clear blue water. Mmmmm. I wish our beaches were like that! Also, this beach was apparently a "clothing optional" beach. There were one or two people there just letting it all hang out. One was like.. a 50 year old woman, and the other was an old man, and all you saw was his crack. (Thankfully not more!)

So, after the beach we took a taxi back to the cruise port, and the taxi we got was NUTS. This crazy black lady was like "Taxi to the Port! You Need a Taxi?" So we got in with two other people, and then she spent like 10 minutes driving around in circles looking for more people to take... and she was screaming out the window, and then laughing and cackling. It was insane! She was really funny... but a really weirdo! Then she pulls up behind this restaurant, and some guy brings out food to her, and she says to us, "He takes good care of his baby! I wish he took care of everything in his life like he takes care of his baby!!" We were like..staring at the other people in the van like.. What is going on!

Then, she asks us, "So, did you take it all off???" And we were all like.. "No" Then Dan asks her, "What about you? Do you take it all off?" And she started cackling again, and was like "Sometimes... but not too often. I have a lot to offer, and I'm not gonna give it away for free!!"

So, she was a wild driver, and we got back to the port, and walked around, looked at the shops there, and then got back on the ship.

We had lunch, got stir fry, and they cooked it in front of us, and then we went up and went in the pool, went down the big slide, and then in the hot tub!

We came back to the room, got ready for dinner and the show. We went to the show at 7:00, got there a little early and played cards in the lounge, and then we watched the Comedy/Juggling show. It was pretty good.

Dinner was good, the menu was really good tonight, and I got two appetizers, and I got the "Corn Fed" chicken for dinner.

After dinner we went to the 80's Party and Sock Hop things. They were lots of fun. The assistant cruise director, Noortje, took a video of me with my camera, but I found out later that she never pressed the record button. Quite a shame because I was dancing with some crazy black lady.

Then we had the DECK PARTY!! WOO HOO! Lots of fun dancing on the deck! I loved it. That is definitely one of my favorite activities on any cruise! It's very very exciting.

Then we walked around a little, it was about 11:45...went to the Karaoke, watched some people sing.. the best was one of the Dancers from the ship.. he sang "You're gonna love me". WOW..it was intense! He kept shaking the big silver curtain behind him, and he was belting it out! It was some performance!

Then we started talking to some people from South Carolina, and we talked for a while, while the crazy guys were vacuuming the lounge. Then we went to get ice cream, I got pizza, and we watched these Chinese ladies playing majong on the deck at like 2am. It was so random. They were like, so intense!

Now it's definitely time for bed! I am super exhausted!!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
