"heading home" or "the heatwave continues"

Hey Journal!

I am EXHAUSTED and ready for bed! It's been along weekend, and I need some sleep before work tomorrow!!

We got up this morning at the hotel around 9:30, and started packing for the trip home. Our plan was to get out as early as possible because we wanted to avoid the New York traffic, and still have some of the day left when we got home!

We said our goodbyes to JRo and his mom at about 10:00, and then we headed out of the hotel.

Dan texted Ben to see if he wanted to out to breakfast, and we met at a place called the Belga Cafe. It was a Belgian restaurant. I got eggs, bacon, and little potato things. It was pretty good. Ben got this most expensive mimosa ever for its size... And the waiter kept looking at his ID, and then staring at him. My food was good, it was a fun time! I'm glad we got to see Ben! Last time we went to DC, we were going to hang out, but then it fell through, so this was fun! Ben said he may come visit this summer! That would be cool!

So we were on our way by about 11:30ish, I think... and we made pretty good time all the way home until we got off of the Verrazano Bridge. There was sooooo much traffic on the Belt Parkway. It took us 6 hours to get home.

Anyway, we finally made it, and we relaxed, watched some TV, I took a shower, and now we're getting ready for bed.

Desperate Housewives was good tonight... I can't wait for the whole Dave thing to be over... I thought we would finally get there when Edie found out... but then you know what happened with that!

Alrighty.... must get to sleep! Work tomorrow!
