Hey Journal!

So... Last night after my entry, we went out to a bar in DC. It was fun, It took us a while to get there, and then we stayed for a little while, got some McDonald's and then headed back to the hotel.

This morning we got up around 10, got ready, headed off to DC (and our scheduled Capitol tour for 11:40). We ate breakfast at Cosi, and then off to the tour. We've done this tour so many times, it's getting to be really predictable! I think I'm done with it for about 2 years, at least. It was fun though, as always.

After the tour, we walked down to try to go to the archives, but there was a lonnnng wait, so we decided to skip it. Next we went to Arlington, and spent a while there, then went for lunch at Burger King, and returned to see the Iwo Jima memorial, and of course the Netherlands Carillon. Sadly, the carillon was closed, and we couldn't go up in it. lol

Last stop of the day was the Jefferson Memorial. I had only been there once before, it was nice to visit Thomas again. He is most Compelling. We spent some time there.. and then back to the hotel!

We rested up a bit, took a shower, and then there was a crazy thunder and lightening storm! The rain was pouring, and the lightning was really huge! It was fun. After it stopped, we went for a drive, just randomly, wound up in Annapolis, and then came back, and now it's time to call it a night!

Can't believe we have to drive home tomorrow. Grrr I don't want to spend the whole day in the car.

Oh yeah, it was beautiful this weekend. The winter finally went away. Friday it was warm, but I wore jeans... I was alright, but it could have been short weather. Today it was BEAUTIFUL, and I DID wear my shorts. It was about 88 degrees, and it was even hotter at home apparently! Woo Hoo! No more winter clothes! Lets hope it stays. With our crazy weather...it could snow tomorrow!
