"bumpin" or "avalon" or "christmas cupcakes"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up around 10:30 and played some Mario while waiting for Dan to get up. He woke up around 11:30... and we hung around the house for a little while, I had some cereal, and then we went out and got bagels.

Then we went to pick up Scott, and went to this park in Stony Brook called Avalon. AVALON. We had some potato chips and raisins in the car, so we fed them to the ducks/geese/seagulls! At first they didn't really like the raisins, but they warmed up to them a little later! haha!

We walked around there, and walked up in the woods through the little trails. We passed a guy who was carrying a bouquet of dead flowers/weeds! Very strange!

Then we walked back along the road, and finished off our chips... the seagulls attacked them!!

The plan was to go to Tropical Smoothie, and Dan had gotten a coupon in his e-mail for a Buy One food thing, and get a smoothie free... but it was for the Huntington location...so we headed out that way! We went to Walk Whitman mall and walked around there... Scott saw his friend there, she was selling those heated neck pad thingys!! "Excuse me, you MUST try this!"

Then we went to Pottery Barn and perused the goods, and then looked at glasses in LensCrafters! Still no luck.. I didn't see anything I want. :( I want new glasses... I NEED new glasses... the ones I have now have like 3 prescriptions ago lenses! But I want a new style... and nothing seems right.

Anyway, after that we went to Tropical Smoothie! The people working there were not quite on the ball... they messed up the order of the people in front of us, they forgot to give Dan his buy one get one (and THEN didn't know how to return things on the register!) Then after we got our stuff, as people kept coming in... they messed up things with the next two people, too! So crazy! I got an all Strawberry smoothie, and it was pretty good! I also got soup, and was pleasantly surprised with it!

This place was so weird though, it had a hallway outside, and there was a portrait studio across the hall... and noone was there, but there were like 8 people working! So weird. Then we went out into the long hallway, and it was just ...weird!

I had taken a picture with my iPhone that I wanted to send to Scott, so we install this App called "Bump".. and all you had to do was pick the photo, and then bump the phones together, and like magic... the picture was sent! So cool! After discovering this, throughout the night whenever we had some good pictures we would just bump them to eachoher! haha

Next stop... Roosevelt Field Mall! Yeah, we were just mall hopping! We walked around and went in some stores... just wandered around. They have this Disney Vacation Club store, where you go to get info on that whole thing... We went in and this crazy guy started talking to us, and asking us all weird questions. I wanted to get the heck out of there... and then this Chinese lady came wandering in, and she looks at Scott and with a THICK accent she's like, "WHAT IS THIS???" He said, "Some Disney thing." so she asks, "WHAT KIND OF DISNEY THING???" It was so random! We then used this opportunity to escape. Scott and I went outside, but Dan stayed talking to the guy! Then as the Chinese lady left, she passes Scott and I, and looks over and just starts LAUGHING really loudly! So wild!

We went to American Apparel, and then Urban Outfitters, and then started to head out. There was some lady giving out free samples of soap.

On the way back, we decided to make cupcakes, so we went to Target to get the necessary ingredients! We got the cake mix, and cup thingys, and all.... then we stocked up on some essentials. We had nothing at home to drink, so I got three things of lemonade and three things of fruit punch! They had a good sale on the fruit punch this week! Nice! 1.19! Woo!

We got some TV dinners, and Super Pretzels, and then headed home! We played some Super Mario Wii and then when we started to make the cupcakes, we realized we had no eggs!! AHHH! We went out to ShopRite and got the eggs, and the lady working at the register was WILD! She was really nice, and Dan got talking to her, as he often does... but she had quite a look about her!

Then when we got back we did the cupcake stuff, and then watched a show about people who won the lotto while we waited for them to bake! The show was weird, because it left off with such weird cliffhangers! They would go into the person's story, then say that something bad happened to them... and then didn't come back to explain... so at first we thought the show was really weird... but at the end of the show they DID go back and explain.... but it was still weird how they did it!

There was this one guy who said he's the happiest guy in the world... and then just started laughing like a lunatic! It was so strange. We watched it several times!

So, we finished our cupcakes, and they turned out great! Scott and Dan did the icing! Christmas Cupcakessss! WOOO!

After that we departed and brought Scott home, and now we're back and getting ready for bed!!
