"st. thomas" or "magen's bay"

Hey Journal!

This morning we docked in St. Thomas! We got up around 8:15 and ready for a fun day of beaching! We got odd the ship and took a taxi to the other side of the island, to Magen's Bay, which is supposed to be one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

It was very nice. The sand was so perfect, and the water was clear and blue, and and perfect!! We layed out in the sun for a while, and then went in the water, and swam the along the beach. It was a very fun time, and would have to be the nicest beach I've ever been to! It's too bad that we don't had nice beaches like this by us. The sand by us is okay, and the water is gross, green, and COLD all the time. If only it was pristine, blue, and warm.... I would go all the time.

We stayed there for a few hours, and then took a taxi back. Halfway back, the taxi guy pulled over and had us get into his "wife's" taxi. She took us to the ship. We walked around the shops, looked ofr sunglasses, but they were all more money than in San Juan! Maybe once we get to one of the non-US islands prices will be better.

Then... St. Thomas lived up to its reputation for us. We went to that little bar, the same one we went to last time... it's a nice little place, and that same waitress was there, the one who was dancing all over the place. (Only she wasn't dancing today.) Dan, his mom, and his dad shared some buckets of beer, and I had three rum punches! They were STRONG... and I was WASTED!

I have no recollection of leaving taht bar, and getting back on the ship. I know we called JRo, and Steve... though I have no idea what I said to them. In fact, I can't even remember talking to JRo.

So, after getting back on the boat, we walked around, found Dan's parents on the Spa deck, and I fell asleep next to them on a random chair. Then I woke up like 10 minutes later, and Dan was nowhere to be found. So, I walked around the deck, and he was sleeping on a hammock! I got in, too, and fell asleep... and we were there for like an hour, until the ship's horn blew, and woke us up! What a mess!

We went back to the room, slept for a while, and then got up at 7:45 for dinner! Dinner was good tonight, but I couldn't eat too much, I was still working off the craziness from before. Our waitress is so nice... the next cruise after us is her last one. She's going home to Bulgaria.

After dinner, we walked around the ship, and looked at the pictures, and now, here we are..getting an early night... heading to bed!

Seeing Steve tomorrow in Antigua! Should be exciting! Gotta get some rest!
