"nassau, bahamas" or "last day of cruising"

Hey Journal!

Today was our last day. Very sad. However, we did doa lot of fun stuff. We got up around 11, and the ship had just pulled in to Nassau, Bahamas! We got ready, and got some breakfast, and then met everyone down on the pier.

We walked to the main area, and got a taxi to take us to Atlantis! We played a little in the casino, but didn't win anything. I left with a one cent voucher to keep as a souvenir.

After losing our money, we took an elevator up the the 18th floor, just to check out the hotel, and see if there was a nice view from up there. There were actually no windows, but we walked around... and then took a different set of elevators down.

Now, when you just go there like we did, you aren't allowed into certain areas, and near the entrance to the pool and slide, and all that stuff, they had a guard, and they wouldn't let you in without a pass. But, where our second elevator let us off was RIGHT INSIDE this protected area! haha! So, we just walked around in there, and checked out the pools, the aquarium, the slide... didn't actually do anything, but we got to see what all was going on there!

After that, we headed back to the ship area. We went to the Straw Market, and they really had a ton of crap. The only things that were good were the knock off pocket books, but we weren't interested in those, so it was kinda blah. We walked around a little more and then headed back to the ship for lunch.

I had a grilled cheese, some mashed potatoes (which were great), some chicken finger things, and some other random stuff. It was a crazy meal. After that, we did some walking around, and then I went to the gym.

I did .75 miles on the treadmill, followed by 1 mile on the elliptical, and then .75 again on the treadmill. So, all together, 2.5 miles today. In the middle, Dan came up and did some gymming, too.

After the gym, we went to the hot tub at the back of the ship. They had the roof covered, and it was nice. We were there for about 30 minutes, and then went to get ready for dinner. We came back to the room, took showers, and got dressed... also packed up a little.

We went to dinner... the food was crappy tonight. We said goodbye to Slavka and Natalia... and that was that.

Then we walked around some more... we really did a lot of walking.

Then came back to the room.. tonight we got some strange towel animal creature. I can't really tell what he is! We finished packing up, and put our luggage in the hall.

We went to the lobby area, listened to the music, and filled out our comment cards.

Then walked around, and just explored the ship for one last time. Got a slice of pizza.... and now, we're back here.. and it's time for bed.

Until tomorrow.... UGH!! Tomorrow is the END of all this fun.. and we get back home with 30 minutes to spare before the Super Bowl. Ahhhh! Oh well... Until tomorrow... my last entry from the Carnival Freedom!...
