"painting miley's room" or "sonoma"

Hey Journal!

This morning, Dan and I got up around 10:30 and we watched some TV. I can't remember what we watched, though!

At 11:30, Dan left to go golfing with his dad, and I got ready to go over to Kristen and Don's! They were waiting for their new couch to be delivered, and also working on painting "Miley Cyrus's room".

I helped prep the room by putting down the "Frog Tape" on the radiators! Then I watched as Kristen and Don went to work with the paint. It took about an hour for them to paint the whole room with the first coat!

The big Macy's truck pulled up during the painting, and they quickly dropped off the new couch! It's very snazzy, and very comfortable!

After that, we went to get some lunch at the pizza place around the corner. I got two slices. They were yummy!

Then we were off to Lowe's to get some new paint. They weren't happy with the color they had originally picked out, and decided to get a darker shade for the next coat. So, we got the paint, and some other supplies they needed.

Our next stop was the mall, because it was Kristen's mom's birthday, and they needed a present for her! We were in search of a beach chair, because a few weeks ago when we were at the beach with her family, one of theirs broke, and they had to throw it out.

We were thinking... Where do people get beach chairs?? They're the kind of thing I never remember seeing in the store, but obviously people get them somewhere.... and then when you ask them where they got it, they don't remember because they got them so long ago! I couldn't even think of what store to go to for a selection of beach chairs!

We did have luck, however... they had TWO beach chairs at Dick's. They had one really low chair, and one multi-colored chairs that was a little higher! I liked the multi-colored one... or as Kristen called it... the "Fabulous" one!

We stopped at Hallmark before headed back to their house.

I hung out there a little while longer, and then left as they were getting ready to go over for the birthday festivities.

Shortly after I got home, Re came over, and then Dan arrived back from work about 15 minutes later.

We went out to dinner at the Sonoma Grill. Re had suggested it as a new place to try... and actually, Dan and I had been there about three or four years ago for Joey's birthday! It was a good choice, though. Not one of our usual places. It was a good time.

After dinner, we decided to go to the "Nautical Mile" in Freeport. We didn't actually know how to get there, but we were also thinking about possibly going to mini-golfing, and our search for a course led us right there, and we stumbled upon it!

We walked around, but to be honest, there wasn't much to do there at all... so we wound up just making one lap and leaving. The smell there is also not very appealing.

When we got back, we watched the movie Valentine's Day. I had gotten it from Netflix a few MONTHS ago, and we FINALLY got around to watching. I thought at first that it was a little too confusing with all the different couples... and then I started to feel like the movie wasn't really going anywhere. Re fell asleep, and when she woke up... she decided to go home.

Dan and I finished watching the movie, and my opinion changed. I liked it.

Anyway, now it's time for bed! Tomorrow's Sunday... nothing really planned... We'll just see what happens!

Goodnight. :)
