"disney's hollywood studios" or "whispering canyon with nicole and heather"

Hey Journal!

Today we set the alarm and the wake up call for 7:50am and I thought it was going to BAD getting up that early, but surprisingly, I woke up on my own just ten minutes before the alarm was scheduled to go off!

We got up and got ready, and were out of the room by 8:15. We took the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios! We were there before it opened at 9, and got in line to get a Fast Pass for Toy Story Midway Mania! It's insane... if you don't get there right away, you might as well forget going on it!

We hurried there, following the green army men who were leading the way, got a Fast Pass for 9:55, and then got on the 20 minute standby line. We rode once, then walked over to Rock n' Roller coaster. I was secretly hoping that the kid who told me I looked like I was 18 last year was going to be there again... but of course, he was not. We rode that, then got a Fast Pass for Tower of Terror!

We went back to ride Midway Mania again, and our on the second game, our car broke!! It froze the whole ride, and we were there for about 2 minutes, when these guys came out and lifted up a hatch on our car thing. He pressed some buttons inside, and then about 2 minutes later, they made an announcement that the ride was going to resume. However, we just kept passing though the games with nothing happening, and it moved us over to an empty track on the side, and we returned to the regular staging area. We got off, but they knew we had problems, so they had us and the four other people who were on our thing stand over to the side, and they let us ride again on the next car! Woo Hoo!

We went again... so we really got 2 1/2 rides today! It really is the best ride!

After that, we went for lunch at the 50's Prime Time Cafe! We had to wait a little while, but it wasn't bad for not having a reservation. We had a man this time, and he wasn't as amazing as the woman we had last time, but we still enjoyed. I had planned to get the same thing I got last year, but apparently the menu has changed, and it was no longer available... so I got the pot roast. So did Dan. It was good!

Then, we went to use our Fast Pass for Tower of Terror. We were a little late for that, but it wasn't a problem. We got there around 12, and our time was 10:45-11:45.

After that, we went to the Beauty and the Beast show, which was a condensed stage version of the movie! It was pretty enjoyable!

Then, We walked around, went to the Animation area and got a picture with Lotso from Toy Story 3, and then the character drawing thing, where we drew Eeyore! On the way out, there was a random character from some Baby Einstein thing... he was funny looking with big glasses, so we got on line to get a picture with him! THe line was really short.. so we figured why not, even though we didn't know him. However, just as we were next, they took him away and replaced him with two others from the same show... a black kid, and an Asian girl. Oh well, we got our picture with them instead!

We headed out of the park, passing by the Pixar Block Party parade that was going on as we left. We took the bus back to the hotel, and got ready to go in the pool. We went in the main pool, and then walked over to the Mighty Ducks pool to try that one out. It was much warmer and much less crowded than the other one. We stayed there for a while, then layed out in the sun.

I came back and took a shower, and got ready for round 2 of day 2!

At about 5:30, we headed to Downtown Disney. We walked around, and went into the stores, and got a snack.

Then we took a bus to the Contemporary and took the monorail around to the Magic Kingdom! We hadn't yet been on the monorail, so it was a special ride!

We got off and took a boat over to the Wilderness Lodge to meet Nicole and Heather for dinner. The boat was kinda scary because it had spiders and spider webs along the railing! There were really a lot of them! I made sure to stay as far away from them as possible. Then there were all these weird flies on the boat. Once we started moving, though, it was fine.

We arrived, and bumped into Nicole and Heather in the gift shop! We got to the restaurant, Whispering Canyon, and our table was ready right away. Our waitress was nice. Dan participated in the "Pony Ride" around the restaurant, but the craziest part of the evening was this really wild girl sitting at the table behind us. She was out of control! During the pony ride, she was flailing the wooden stick around, and almost hit a bunch of people! Then, she kept running around in circles! Then, her father disappeared and left her along at the table for like ten minutes, during which time she ran around to other tables bothering people, and annoying her waitress!

For dessert, our waitress brought over a cupcake, and they all came to sing to me! It was crazy... I loved it. They sang really bad, and then ate my cupcake! It was really fun! Dan got it all on video!

Then, out of nowhere, the GIRL is behind me. She tells us she drew money on napkin. We're all looking at it, and she lurches forward, shakes the napkin, and yells "MONEYYYYY!" Then she left. What a weirdo.

It was a crazy experience. The waitress gave us extra cupcakes to take home! Now, what are Dan and I going to do with four cupcakes!

We took a group picture in the lobby, and then walked outside to see if the waterfall in the lobby ran all the way to the pool. It did not, as I suspected!

Then, Nicole and Heather drove us back to our hotel in her new car! It was a very nice car. It was great not to have to wait for the bus, it saved a TON of time!

Now we're back at the hotel, and I HAVE to get to bed! I'm exhausted!

Magic Kingdom in the AM tomorrow, and Epcot in the afternoon! :)
