"jet blue" or "walt disney world: day 1"

Hey Journal!

Today has been a LONG day! We got up at 3:30am to get ready to leave for the airport! My mom came over just before 4, and we got our stuff together, and departed.

We got to JFK at about 5:15, and we went in and checked our luggage. There was a guy behind us on line with a scary cat in a bag. It was so gross, and kept meowing every three seconds! We both thought he was going to be on our flight, and probably even sitting next to us... but luckily that was not the case!

So, our flight departed at about 6:30 and we landed in sunny Orlando, Florida a little before 9:00am The flight was good... I had some ginger ale and animal crackers, and watched some episodes of The Nanny on TV Land. I also played some Angry Birds! :)

We took the little tram thing from the terminal to the main part of the airport, and then found the Magical Express! YAY! We got on, and arrived at Disney's All Star Movies about 30 minutes later! We tried to get an upgrade like we did last time, but unfortunately we weren't so luck this time.

No big deal, we got a room in the Toy Story section, and headed there to put down our carry on bags (the bags from the plane came later... Disney took care of that.)

Then, we were off to EPCOT!

Oh, and I have to tell you, I can't really believe it myself.. WE'RE IN DISNEY WORLD!! AHHHH! So Great!

So...we went to Epcot, and our first order of business was Spaceship Earth! PAPYRUS!! AHHH! We were so happy to hear that, and smell the bacon! The only sad part was that the thing that takes your picture as you begin didn't work for us, so we got generic people in our movie at the end. Bah!

Then we went on Journey Into Imagination, then to Living with the Land, and ate lunch at the "Sunshine Seasons" place there! I got my chicken meal that I thoroughly enjoyed last time!

While throwing out my garbage from lunch, I got my finger stuck in the swinging part of the garbage pail. It was painful! I had to get a cup of ice and kept it on for a while. It feels much better now, I know you were wondering, but it still hurts a little bit. Hopefully it'll be fully healed by tomorrow!

Next up, we did a round of the World Showcase. We did the River of Time... or whatever they're calling it now... Donald's Grand Fiesta Tour.

We skipped Norway because it had a wait... (everything else we did today had no wait at all!) Then we went to the American Adventure, and then around to Ellen's Energy Adventure! Always fun!

After that, we were planning on having dinner at the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, but I wanted to come back and shower and get changed first. Dan wanted to see Taylor Dane in Epcot, so I came back, went in the pool quickly, showered, and then we met back here around 7:00.

We got ready and headed out to Magic Kingdom for dinner at the Crystal Palace!! Frank was working tonight, and he hooked us up with a reservation! :) We got there around 7:30, and had to wait a little while, but we talked to Frank. Dinner was good, a buffet. Not the widest variety of food, but I was filled up very quickly. I had some ice cream for dessert and then Frank surprised me with a cupcake and a birthday card signed by Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger! Then he sent Tigger over to have me lead the "Pooh-rade" around the restaurant! Craziness!! I turned bright red! :P

It was a fun time!

Then we headed outside to watch the Wishes fireworks show from the porch of the Crystal Palace! After that, we walked around to find something to do. We went on the Jungle cruise.... which is a very different experience at night. We found a spot RIGHT in front of the castle for the 10:00 Electrical Parade, however, it was delayed for 30 minutes "due to unforeseen circumstances." Then we went over to Tomorrowland where we rode the "Peoplemover!" I loved it, as usual.

IT REALLY HAS BEEN A LONG DAY! We were up at 3:30am.. and now it's 12:53am! Insane! We headed to the bus stop but the line was HUGE... so we took the bus to All Star Sports and then walked here... it was about a 7 minute walk.. and DEFINITELY beat waiting for bus after bus to come and pick up people for Movies!

Now...IT IS BED TIME! I will sleep so well, until the alarm goes off way too early! We're getting up early for Studios tomorrow! Gonna get a fast pass for Midway Mania rightttt away!
