"thanksgiving eve"

Hey Journal!

I can't believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving! It just snuck up on us this year! I really wanted to go to Hershey for the start of "Christmas in Hershey" before Thanksgiving, like we had done last year, but unfortunately we had so much going on the past few weekends, that it wasn't possible!

Work today was kinda slow... Dan's Dad didn't come in until about 2:00 because he had a funeral to go to. I worked on some random projects in the morning, and then did a little "hosting" in the restaurant, but it was so dead that I decided to just go back downstairs to the office.

The morning dragged by! It was so bad. I looked at the clock and expected it to be at least noon, but it was only 10:39! How sad!

Finally, however, it was time to go home! We got to leave about 15 minutes early. Dan got to leave work at 3! That was pretty nice for him! He got home and started working on the special butter mix that we need for the turkey tomorrow! (It's really the only part of the meal that we could prepare beforehand!)

When I got home we watched the news, and World News, and then started to prepare for tomorrow by rearranging things. We moved one of our end tables into the bedroom to make room to set up the large folding table for dinner. We cleaned up a little, and then decided to take a trip to the store to get a few more last minute items.

We went to Stop and Shop and picked up something that Dan's mom needed, and then dropped it off to her, and picked up a pan to cook the turkey in from her.

After that, we went to Target in Commack just to walk around, and got to see some of the pre-setup for Black Friday!

It got pretty cold out tonight... After Target, we headed home and I took a shower. Then we watched last week's episode of Glee, and now it's time for bed! I can't believe it's so late! We have to get up EARLY to start our Turkey preparations!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
