Hey Journal!!

Happy Thanksgiving!! :)

Today we got up at 9:00am and began preparing for our Thanksgiving Feast! We started with the turkey, of course, and we got it out of the fridge, and Dan put the butter/herb pieces under the skin. lol While he was doing that, I worked on the vegetables and other random stuff.

We got the turkey in at 9:30, and then we spent the whole rest of the morning preparing all the other food, getting the table ready, and cleaning up! We watched the parade, and kept cooking!

We documented it with lots of pictures, which I will be sure to post tomorrow, and every 23 minutes my cell phone alarm went off to let me know it was time to baste the turkey! It was wild.

Really, the whole entire morning was full of cooking...it never ended! About a half hour before everyone arrived, I took a shower, and got out of my PJs!

So, at about 2:00, all of our guests started arriving... We had 8 people total, counting us! It was wild! The most crazy part came about 1/2 hour before it was time eat.... we had to start working on the vegetables and stuffing and gravy... and it was all going at once, and things were so hectic!

Dinner was ready around 4:00, if I remember correctly. Amazingly, it all turned out GREAT! What a success! The turkey was amazing!! (and so was everything else... but the turkey was the most important part!!)

After dinner, we hung around for a bit, had dessert, and then before you know it, it was time for everyone to depart. I think that was about 8:00. Dan and I cleaned up and got things back to normal around here. We watched some TV, and I took a shower, and now we're about ready for bed!

I'm exhausted from the entire day of cooking, and after all that work, the meal lasted such a short amount of time! I couldn't believe it was all over and done with!

Now, we're focused on Black Friday! We went through the circulars, and we're planning to meet up with Re and Lau at the diner at 2am! Our first store opens at 3am this year! Insane! An house earlier than last year!

We are getting ready for bed now, gotta try to maximize our sleep!
