"thank the phonecians" or "flight delayed"

Hey Journal!

Well... we're on our way home, but are currently delayed at the airport, so I thought I'd take this time to start filling you in on our day!

We got up this morning at around 8:15, got our stuff ready, packed up, and then headed over to the mail lobby of the hotel. We checked our big bag for the plane, and we won't see it again until we land at home. We left our backpack and laptop at the baggage storage area, and then headed in to the restaurant for breakfast. We decided to have a quick breakfast at the hotel since we had been eating cereal every other morning. I got eggs, sausage, bacon, and a mickey waffle! :)

Then we hurried up and got out to the boat launch area, and took a really cool boat ride down the Sassagoula River to Downtown Disney! The boat captain was really nice.

When we got there, we walked around a little, and then made our way to the bus stop. We wanted to head over to Epcot to get in some last rides. Unfortunately, they don't have any buses that go from their directly to the parks, so we took the one for Beach Club instead, and then walked over to the International Gateway!
We went to Test Track, but the line was way too long, so we decided to skip it.

We went on Spaceship Earth.. and I love it so much. I already miss the smell of bacon, and the smug way that Judy Dench reminds us of the Phonecians.

Then we went over to The Land, and we watched the "Environmental Fable" which I had never seen before. It's got Lion King characters in it, and it's... alright... nothing too exciting, though.

Next, we went over to Mexico, where Dan got a Duffy the Disney Bear cardboard cutout, which he got stamped at every country on the way around the world showcase. We stopped at the American Adventure to watch the show. We caught the tail end of the Voices of Liberty. The show there is really good, I love the music and the while "epic presentation."

We continued around the world, and then stopped for lunch at the Rose and Crown. I got the Sunday Roast, and it was very good!

After that, we had no time to loose, and we hurried over to Magic Kingdom for one last look at the castle, and to say goodbye to Frank! We took the monorail over, and would have been there much much sooner, if only the people in front of us going up the monorail ramp had ANY sense of urgency that the monorail had been sitting there with it's doors open! And finally, as we reached the platform, it left! Geez!

We got there, walked down Main Street USA, and then headed over to Adventureland. I was going to get an Orange Slush from the Sunshine Tree Seasons, but the line was insane. We went over to the princess area, and said our goodbyes to Frank!

Then we hurried back to the buses, and went back to our hotel. We got to the lobby at about 5:03, but had already missed out Magical Express. We were able to get on the 5:30 one, and while we waited, we had a drink in the hotel bar, which was really really nice. The frozen strawberry daiquiri I had was GREAT, too!

So, we got on our Magical Express, and sadly, we headed for the airport. When we arrived.... there was bad news waiting for us. Our flight had been DELAYED!! UGH!! It now was showing a scheduled departure time of 10:45pm! WHAT?!! We couldn't believe it. If we had only known, we could have had an extra three hours in Disney! Our flight was supposed to be 7:45, and we would have been home by then!!

We hung out at the airport, and had dinner at the "Chili's Too" restaurant there. Our waiter was named Gaston, and no... it's not like Gaston from Beauty and the Beast... it's "Gas-ton," like the motor oil, and the weight measurement. He called me homeboy.

So, here we are waiting for our flight. They said it may take off around 10:25 now, and until then, I'm going to watch my DVD of "Song of the South" that Frank made for me! Woo!

We should be getting home around 1:00... and then of course.. it's back to work tomorrow. Sad face!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
