"pride 2011"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up around 9am and I was pretty tired, and would have liked to sleep later, but we had a busy day!

We got ready, and then headed out to pick up Scott at 10. We stopped at a bagel store to get some food, and then headed off to the city for the pride parade! We didn't really hit any traffic, but we did decide to take the tunnel instead of the bridge because the signs said their was an accident on the bridge, and traffic looked like it was backed up pretty far!

Yesterday, we had gone online to find some good parking, and we found a $10 lot just a couple of blocks away from Madison Square Park, which is where we had stood last year! We parked, and then walked there. We got a spot right across from the little stage thing, and the parade started pretty soon after that! We stayed in that spot for a while, and then decided to change it up and go further down the road. Our new spot was actually nicer, and we had a better view of the parade!

Governor Cuomo was marching in the parade, and everyone had signs that said "Thank You Governor Cuomo!" We got one to take home, and I tried all day to avoid bending it, and I am happy to say I was pretty successful!

Everyone was all happy and celebrating since the marriage bill passed on Friday, but other than that, it was pretty much the same thing as last year! We had a fun time watching the parade, but after a while it gets a little bit long! :P

After that, we walked over to the festival part and looked for free stuff, and then we were STARVING so we went to Dallas BBQ for some food! We went to a different location than we had been to before, and it was nice, but the food was kinda blah. My chicken was meager, as was my potato and corn bread, and it didn't even taste that good! It left something to be desired!

So, we headed back to the car after that, and it was about 6:30 when we left. We dropped Scott off at home, and then headed back home. I took a shower, and we watched some TV.

I was so exhausted when we got home, and I'm even MORE exhausted now! I should have gone to bed much earlier!

Another fun week of work starts tomorrow. Yay!

Goodnight. :)
