Hey Journal!!

It was super hot in Vegas today!!

Re got up at about 6:00am to get ready for her conference, and Dan and I got to sleep until about 9:15. When we got out of bed, we got our bathing suits on and headed down to the pool!

The pool area is nice, but not as nice as the one at the Wynn! That one was amazing. The pool water was FREEZING cold, which I found to be really curious since it's always so hot outside. How cold the water NOT be warmer!? After dipping our feet in the cold pool, we went over to the hot tub, which was much better. Since it was pretty early in the morning, it wasn't really hot outside yet.

At about 11:00, we headed back to the room and got showered up. We met Re at her TpT conference at 12:00 and then went to lunch. We ate at a restaurant called Public House which was right by the conference area. It was really good... I got the short rib with mashed potatoes. I enjoyed it, but it did leave me still feeling hungry afterwards. It was also expensive for what it was.

Re headed back to her conference at 1:30 and Dan and I took a walk down the strip and did some casino business! Dan played a couple of games and was up $15. Then I played Craps and doubled our money...so now we were up a little for the day.

It was UNBELIEVABLY HOT and I didn't have any sunscreen on, so I really had to make sure I stayed out of the sun. We made our way to the Bellagio and watched the fountain show. This time, we got a double feature. One was the national anthem (which was a little lame with the fountains) and then Con Te Partiro.

We rested up a bit after that inside the Bellagio before heading back.

We met Re at 4:00 for her happy hour. Re had managed to get some extra drink coupons, so we were quite excited. Unfortunately, they only had beer and wine, so I wasn't able to partake.

When we left the conference, we came back to the room and Re took a nap. Dan and I went to the casino, and I played some more Wonka! I got a lot of Oompa Loompa bonuses and wound up being up by $50!! WAHOO!!

When we got back, we all regrouped, and then we went out for dinner. We were going to eat at Maggiano's, but they had an hour long wait, so we decided to go to the food court in the mall. Re and I got Sbarro's... I had lasagna, and Dan got a sandwich from somewhere else.

After we ate, we made our way back down the strip and Re got her leg cup filled with alcohol. Unfortunately, it cost over $45 dollars and she only drank half of it! Yikes!

We played some more games, but lost....we played War, which was fun... but we lost at that, too. For the day we ended down $12.

Now we're back in the room and getting ready for bed! Tomorrow we plan to go to old vegas, possibly check out Pawn Stars, and then we have to be at the airport at 9pm!
