Hey Journal!

What a busy day we had today! I also didn't get a great night's sleep last night and so I'm exhausted! We have a busy day planned tomorrow, so I want to get to bed pretty soon!

I was tossing and turning all night for some reason and then kept waking up a lot. Later on, as it got later, it started getting warm in the bedroom and I woke up sweating. I think I'm going to have to check the Nest temperature settings because I may have it set too high!

My mom called us around 9:45 and asked us if we wanted to go out to breakfast. We decided to go to the Professor's Diner and we met there just after 10:00.

Breakfast was good and after we ate we took a walk around the shopping center. We went into the card store because my mom wanted to get check a lotto ticket she had. She was not a winner.

Next, we went over to TJ Maxx. I don't think I've ever been in that store...the one in Kings Park...or any other location for that matter. (But I could be wrong!)

We walked around and looked at the stuff -- I don't understand what the difference is between TJ Maxx and Marshalls. They are owned by the same company and they're so alike... why have to names?

After that we came home and relaxed for a little bit. We watched some TV...Judge Judy and 20/20. They had a special about lottery winners and stuff. Nothing will ever compare to that weird show we watched years ago, though, about lotto winners -- and that guy with the crazy laugh.

This afternoon we had plans to go over to my cousin's house at 2:00 so we got ready and left a little after 1. We stopped at Carvel on the way to pick up some flying saucers for dessert. They're good but they are ridiculously overpriced for ice cream sandwiched between two little cookies!

We arrived a couple of minutes after 2:00 and hung out and played with Evelyn and Marilyn for a while. Evelyn was very excited to see us and gave us big hugs when we arrived. Marilyn was much more cautious at first...she was shy and a little wary!

After a while, though, she got warmed up to us as well. We had pizza and just did our thing for a while. We got to see Evelyn's new bedroom for the first time since it was completed and then my cousin had a surprise movie... he had located Babes in Toyland! He didn't know just quite how obsessed I am with it so he thought I hadn't seen it in a long time! It's okay, though, I can never get enough!

We had our flying saucers for dessert and then we went back upstairs to take a photo for Marilyn's 1st birthday card invitation. Dan and I had brought our camera and flash and Jackie had some ideas for the setup. We hung a little Happy BIrthday banner on the wall in her bedroom and then we had to try our hardest to get her to sit in one spot and smile for the camera! It was a little tricky so Dan wound up laying on the floor under a sheet to hold her in place while we tried to snap the pictures!

We did get some good shots and we got some funny ones, too! (Like one of Evelyn basically butting Marilyn in a choke hold!) We looked at the pictures after that and then around 6:30 we headed out.

This evening, JC had invited us over to her new house because Gil was going away on a business trip. We wanted to go but weren't sure if we would be able to make it in time. She said she was shooting for 7:00 and I thought we might not make it until about 8, but we made excellent time and arrived just a few minutes after 7. Lau and Re were also there.

This was the first time we were seeing JC's new house and we were really excited! She gave us the grand tour when we arrived and the house is most definitely unique. It had a really cool layout and has a lot of space. There's a cool loft area off of their bedroom and the basement is finished as well. From the outside it looks like a good sized house but on the inside it's even bigger than you'd expect!

Gilbert and Preston were really cute... they were playing with PlayDoh and I made a man with a hat. Gilbert named him Henry.

We ordered pizza and they delivered it just as we were finishing up the grand tour. We ate and hung out and had a good time.

Dan and I were really exhausted from our long day today and we're going to be getting up pretty early tomorrow so we departed around 9:15.

We just got home and Dan is showering up now. I'm gonna jump in when he's done and then we'll probably have a quick snack before bed. We're going to get to sleep soon so we can have another long and fun day in the morning!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
