Hey Journal!

Last night I slept with the windows open and turned the air conditioner off. It was cooler outside than it's been in a while and I wanted that authentic summer feeling! The feeling from when I was little and would have to sleep in my room with the big fan going to keep my cool. The sounds of the crickets and other nighttime creatures, the sound of the little breeze.... it was nice!

I also had to take out a sheet to replace the usual comforter because that would have been a little too much. The sheet was good at first but eventually I woke up feeling a little too hot and had to stick my leg out!

All-in-all, it was a good decision, I think.

When I got to work I had a bunch of random things to do. First, I had to try to unravel a mess from the outing yesterday. Dan's mom had a problem with the outing's payment and ai Had to call the guy who she usually deal with. Unfortunately, he didn't pick up and I left a message. He still hasn't gotten back to us...so it continues!

Re came in this morning and it was a busy day for her and for me to get stuff ready for her. She did all of the daily closes and bank stuff and I had to print out the monthly bills for her. I was slammed with crazy stuff so i couldn't fold them -- Re braved the folding machine like a pro! I had to make new tee slots so Re could make the tee sheets and then it was about 4:00 and Re departed.

I had to get that all done and fix some issues with unearned and earned dues. I had started ringing up next year's dues but, as it happens many years, I forgot to switch the new dues over to UNEARNED! I did that today and corrected the few that I had already rung up so far.

At 3:00 I realized that I hadn't eaten yet and we went upstairs and ate out on the patio. I got pasta with broccoli, chicken, and garlic.

I left work at 5:15 because at the end of the day the electrician came to look at an issue in the kitchen. I was with him doing that and before I knew it, it was time to go.

When I got home, I got changed quickly and ready to head over to JCs house! She had texted me yesterday to say that she was having a little get together tonight... just for snacks!

I left here at 6:20 and arrived there around 6:35. Lau was just pulling in as I got there and we were the first to arrive.

We hung out and talked and stuff and shortly after Jen B and Re arrived. We played with Gilbert and Preston and Gilbert showed us his remote controlled helicopter. At one point it got stuck up on the roof and I had to go upstairs to rescue it. I went out the window in Preston's bedroom and out onto the roof to save it.

Later, I played Legos with Gilbert, and in one of the best moments of the night, he went into the bathroom to put powder on and when he came out he tracked powder all over the kitchen floor. It was wild! The next time I went into the bathroom there was power all over the place!

Re brought a bag of popcorn and it was AMAZING. I was eating it like crazy and couldn't stop!

It was a very fun time and I enjoyed seeing everyone, especially JC who I don't really see that often!

We all left at 9:45 and I headed home. I showered up and then turned on the AC because it was feeling hotter than yesterday. As much fun as it was to sleep with the AC off and the windows open, I figured it would be better tonight.

Now it's time for bed! Until tomorrow...
