"lazy sunday to recharge"

Hey Journal!

So, today was not a very eventful day but that's okay. We got up this morning at about 9:30 at the hotel in Warwick, RI. I would have liked to sleep MUCH longer but I had woken up several times in the morning because the sun was in my eyes. (I JUST realized that maybe we should have closed the curtains!?) We also had to get up because we didn't want to miss the hotel breakfast!

Their breakfast wasn't the BEST...but they did have the all-important waffle machine. Mine came out absolutely perfectly today and I was very proud of it. While we were eating we noticed they were giving out free Dove shampoo, body wash, and deodorant at the front desk. Dan was all over that and he took a couple for us. We got some more on the way out, too.

Anyway, after we ate we headed back to the room, packed up, and hit the road. We left at about 10:00 and we made decent time getting home. There were one or two SMALL slowdowns after the Throgs Neck Bridge but nothing terrible. We wound up getting home around 1:10.

I was exhausted when we got home so we took it easy for most of the day. We needed a day like this, though, for getting stuff done at home, too. I washed all of Dan's laundry, all of my laundry, towels, and my blanket for the couch! Dan cleaned up in the kitchen and washed all the dishes, and got a bunch of stuff done that needed to get done!

While we did all this, we watched a ton of TV shows. We had fallen behind with so many new shows starting. We watched Designated Survivor, Secrets and Lies, two episodes of HTGAWM, and then three episodes of Walking Dead! Phew!

I was hoping to get to bed early but that didn't happen.... it's not past our normal bedtime so at least it's not too late! Back to work tomorrow but I'm happy that Re will be coming in to help cut down the pile of craziness that's been building up in her office!
