"amplifiers" or "blood blister"

Hey Journal!

Today's pain update is kinda positive. I still have some pain but overall I think it's been less and less frequent than it was in the not so distant past. I really just hope that tomorrow will be better, and every day I'll make some progress!

Today I got up at 8:00 and headed off to work. The day was pretty good -- nothing too crazy to report. Steve was in today but he spent the whole day in the office with Bill. I only saw him for about 15 minutes or so. Maybe less.

I got a lot of random stuff done and I finished prepping the computer system for the curse opening.

In the afternoon, I had the steak sandwich for lunch and then I set up the new amplifier I bought for the restaurant. We had gotten a quote from a local audio company but, sadly, their price was way too high. I found the components I needed online and so, the project became mine by default. I quote was for $6,000. My parts came to just over $2,000. So, we saved a bit, as you can see.

Today was only phase 1 one the project. I had to install the new amplifier and sort out some of the crazy wiring. It wasn't too hard to do, but it did take a little while. I went up after the restaurant had closed and tested out the speakers. I unhooked all of the old spaghetti mess of wires and then redid everything really nicely. In doing this, I freed up a bunch of space up on the top shelf AND I found that we had WAY too many things plugged in that weren't even doing anything. I unhooked all of the crap, and I found an unused extension cord just hanging out in the ceiling. I don't even understand.

I left work around 5:00 and headed home. I did have to stop to get gas in the car but there was an unusual amount of traffic today and I didn't get home until almost 5:50.

When I got home I did my bath/shower routine. I had set the laundry to start at about 3:30 so that the hot water would preheat and be ready for me when I got home!

When Dan got home we watched The Carbonaro Effect, Designated Survivor, and then Scandal! A full night of TV shows!

Now we're gonna get to sleep...
