"free lawn food" or "too cold to mulch"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up and watched some TV before heading out to the backyard to do some more mulching. When we got out there, it was WAY too cold. Dan raked some leaves out of the bed we were going to work on but it was cold and windy and we decided to wait for a better day!

I mean, it's bound to get warmer soon and there's no point in suffering! We came back inside and got ready to head out to Home Depot. We had to return some things we bought last week but didn't need. After that, we looked for more stuff we did need.

We got a new sprayer thing for spraying the fence cleaner stuff and we also picked up some Weed & Feed, and lawn food stuff. Dan seems to be convinced that we have grubs on our lawn, so he also wanted to get a bag of grub killer.

They had a sale on the Turf Builder bags and the weird thing was that if you bought one of the 15,000 Sq/ft bags, it was MORE expensive than buying three of the 5,000 sq/ft bags. Dna made sure to proclaim that loudly so that everyone around could hear and he got one guy to put back his big bag and take three little ones. Really, it's better that way too because you they're more manageable and you can save it if you don't open it.

Once we had picked out all the things we needed, we headed up to the register. We started by scanning the small items we had and then Dan picked up the big bag of grub killer to scan it. As he did that, the lady working the self checkout came over and offered to scan the other heavy bags in the cart. At first I was going to tell her it wasn't necessary, but she looked eager to help so I said okay.

She brought over her portable scanner, scanned the bags, and then said, "you're all set!" She walked back to their little computer station and said, "you're all set" again!

We proceeded to the payment, made our payment, and departed.

Now for the kicker -- the two bags that she scanned NEVER made it onto our receipt! I have no idea what she did when she scanned them but they did not get charged to us! Insane! Well, at this point I'm certainly glad I accepted her offer to help us! I'm just sorry she didn't come sooner!

On the way back we went over to Target and then then headed home.

We watched some TV and then headed out for lunch at Chipotle. Once again, I love that new Hauppauge Chipotle! It's amazing and NEVER has a line. Perfection.

We used our gift card -- the one we bought last time -- and we still have some left on it. We ate, and then went to the mall to walk around. We perused the goods and then headed home.

We took it easy the rest of the night, watched TV and did stuff around the house. I got ready for our trip to visit Aunt Chickie tomorrow...and now we're off to bed!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
