"happy easter" or "peppy reunion"

Hey Journal!

Happy Easter! Today was fun day and we were busy almost all weekend! Actually, I think this weekend we were a bit too busy and we didn't get a chance to catch up on any of our TV shows. I mean, I want to have things to do but I also like to watch our shows and have some down time and we didn't really get any this weekend!

We got up this morning around 9:00 and we had a few minutes before we had to get moving. I did some of my stretches and threw Dan's laundry into the wash. Then, we went outside and took the tables and patio stuff out of the shed because we needed to get them out of the way so we could reach our seed spreader. We needed to use it to put down grub killer. Dan thinks we have grubs on our lawn. I'm not 100% sure but we are treating it anyway!

After freeing the spreader, we headed out to IHOP for EAster breakfast with my mom. She wanted to take us out this morning. I got the 2x2x2 because the special menu wasn't any good today -- weird waffles and stuff.

After breakfast we went over to Home Depot and Dan and I got some grass seed and little bricks to put along one of the beds in the backyard. We wanted to define the area and make it look a little nicer.

When we were done, we went to Carol's Plant Shed to get some Easter plants for my Grandma and my Aunt.

We came home and went right to work in the backyard getting things done. We used the spreader and put the grub killer on the lawn and then we turned on the sprinklers for the first time this season! I went down in the basement, turned the water on, and then we went outside to make sure all the sprinkler heads were working properly.

There were three sprinkler heads caught under the fabric we put down under the mulch! We knew we had covered one, but there were two more! When they came on, they pushed up the fabric and that was good because we knew immediately where they were. I got the exacto knife thing and we cut away the fabric. It actually worked out very nicely.

Once we had tested all the zones, we put the lawn ones on for 45 minutes each to really water in the grub stuff.

Next, we came inside and I took a shower and got ready to go! Dan showered up, too and then we left here around 1:45. We were planning to arrive around 2:00, but got there a little closer to 2:20. We arrived before Dan and Jackie and Mikey and Theresa so we weren't that late after all!

We had a fun day -- first we hid Easter eggs in the backyard and Evelyn and Marilyn went hunting for them! Evelyn was so excited to see us, she ran over and gave us a big hug!

For dinner we had HAM and I was very excited about that. We ate at the "big kids" table in the living room! I talked a lot to Mikey and Theresa and then, after dinner, Aunt Regina brought down some of Mikey's old stuffed animals! A big box full of pound puppies and -- the grand reunion with the one and only PEPPY! Peppy Roni Peppino! After a lot of searching, Mikey also uncovered Pitseed! Amazing!

We had a fun time hanging out and reminiscing.

For dessert we had some cakes and sang happy birthday to Christen and my Aunt. During dessert, this really creepy guy, who was visiting the downstairs tenant, locked his keys in his car and asked for Dan's help! The guy looked just like Dr. Vink from AYAOTD... and a little like Hagrid from Harry Potter! He was really scuzzy!

Anyway, after dessert we hung out a while longer and then we said our goodbyes and headed home around 7:00.

We got back home at about 7:30, I took another shower, did my desensitization exercises, and then Dan and I watched some TV shows we had built up. We watched one more Better Call Saul and then this past week's Prison Break!

Dan is just packing up for his work trip now. He's leaving for California in the morning and will be gone until Thursday!
