October 23, 2017 - 10:41 p.m. Hey Journal! This morning we got up around 8:45 so that we could partake of the free breakfast! After we ate, we left the hotel around 11 and went to the outlets! Dan got a pair of new shoes that were on sale for 19.99 and I got a Blizzard at Dairy Queen! Next we made a quick stop at the Casino nearby to check it out. Dan played $20 in a slot machine and we lost! No fun! We decided to take the drive up South Mountain to Dobbins Lookout! We stopped at the Target nearby just to walk around and then we headed up the mountain. It's pretty wild how high up it is and you get a great view of the Phoenix area down below! I had no cell phone service as we drove up the mountain but there was good service at the very top! I was able to catch some good Pokémon up there! After the park we headed to Tempe to walk around and get some drinks at Fat Tuesday! Dan called them to make sure we could bring our cups from Las Vegas and pay the refill price! They confirmed that we could! I got the "Jungle Juice" and Dan got the usual 190 Octane! The only downside was that we weren't allowed to walk around the streets with them like you can in Vegas! They're big drinks so it would have been fun to have gone somewhere else with them but we had to stay at the restaurant! That's the best part of Vegas... walking around with drinks everywhere! So, Fat Tuesday was pretty quiet on a Monday afternoon! We hung out on the front patio area until some guy started smoking right next to us and then we moved inside! I saw some girl eating fries and I NEEDED to have them! We got an order of fries and scarfed them down! Linda texted me to tell me that Connor had chosen a stock in his stock market club and I decided that I should buy it in real life! Perhaps not the best time to make financial decisions but I have faith in Connor so let's see what happens! Once we finished our drinks we took a walk down the street and passed by ASU. We walked around that area for a bit and then we had dinner at The Chuckbox! It's this old looking place that services counter service burgers and chicken. I got a grilled chicken sandwich. It was actually really good, but I was also feeling very drunk! After we ate, we went to a Trivia night at a bar in the main area of the town. It wasn't crowded but there were a fair amount of teams! We did okay in the beginning but then started to fall behind towards the end. On the final question, Dan had the right answer but then we changed our minds before turning it in! Everyone else got it wrong and if we had kept our correct answer, we would have won! Ugh! It's okay though because he price was a $30 gift certificate to this restaurant and we probably won't be back there! Once trivia was over we were pretty exhausted and so we headed back to the hotel! We got back around 10:00 and now we're just getting ready for bed! Until tomorrow... Goodnight. :)
