"rain delay" or "fireworks game"

Hey Journal!

Today was an enjoyable day. I had work early..from 7-9. The day went by really fast... and despite a few crazy moments, it was a good day.

Dan's dad's computer broke, and wouldn't turn on... so they had to take it away, and that was the most noteworthy thing. That, and that we had like 310 players!

So, directly after work we went to the Mets game. We picked up Brian and Jessica, and Dan's Grandpa..and off we went.

We got there really early, and we ate lunch on the picnic tables outside. I really wanted to go see the globe of the old World's Fair..so Dan and I walked all the way over there, while the rest of them played Rummy at the picnic area.

The globe thing was really really cool, and I got lots of pictures of it..which I will post soon! I really wish they had preserved the World's Fair things.. I would have loved to see them, too. You know me and my obsession with things that are from the past, and haven't been like..redone, and updated, and such. I love seeing things the way they were... like being transported back to that time.

Anyway, we got into the game and got our seats. Just as the lady finished singing the national anthem...it started to POUR, and they covered the field, and had a rain delay. We went and stood out in the hallway, and then after about 20 mins it was over, and we went back in. The game was really good.. kinda nerve wracking, but exciting nonetheless!

After the game was FIREWORKS!! It was amazing.. the fireworks were great, and they lasted so long. They were put to all Beatles music.. and it was so crazy.. I felt like I was on hold at work! LOL

Anyway, we drove back, and got home around 1:30am. It was a late night... but really really fun!

Tomorrow is the city with Dan to meet up with his friend Rick.. should be cool! Going to the Statue of Liberty.. and Ellis Island.. Woo!!
