"cruise: day 4" or "day at sea"

Yes, Today was our first DAY AT SEA. We got to sleep a little later, which was nice.. 10:00. We got ready and met for breakfast at the "Late Breakfast" which was at the inside portion of the Bellagio Buffet Ristorante. lol

After that, Dan and I took a walk around the ship....explored tings such as the gym (Club Saturna) and visited other parts of the ship as well. We then came back and got changed into our bathing suits, and went in the salt water pool, the outside one by the main Lido Mareta area. (BTW when I say all these weird place names.... I really don't call them that.. that's just what the little map of the ship says they are. I figured I'd be correct in my writings, though.) After a little while in the pool, i switched to the hot tub, and stayed there for about 45 mins or so.

We came in and went to the main lounge area...which has a piano, therefore we call it the Piano Lounge, (not to be confused with the real Piano Bar). We were there for about an hour and a half, we ordered the special drink of the day, which was VERY GOOD. We talked to the waitress who was named Anyela. (Pronounced Angela, just spelled with a y!) She was sooo nice, so told us that her husband works on another ship, and that they tried to be on the same one, but it didn't work out. She hasn't seen him for two months. She's 22, because when she looked at our IDs she said she was the same age as me. Well, she said, "You have my year."

She was so nice, she talked to us for a while, and then we got a picture with her! She ended her shift, and went on a break...and Dan and I departed. We went to the Trivia contest in the Grand Bar Salento, however we did not win. The topic was Science and Nature. All I know is, I got my question about Archimedes Screw correct. :) We took a short trip to the casino, and I lost a few bucks, oh well! We then went in the hot tun in the back of the ship for about 30 minutes. It was nice because the roof was closed, and it was very warm! The breeze sometimes makes me too cold.

After that, we came back to the room to get ready for dinner... we took our showers and got dressed, and then went to the main lounge to have another drink and kill time before dinner. Anyela was back, and we said hi to her again!

At 8:15 we went to dinner, and we met everyone else there. Tonight was Italian Night...the food was good, I got filet mignon and a baked potato. At the end of the meal, they waiters did a great show for us... they sang, they did a little dancing, and we did a conga line!! LOL

Dan and I went for a little walk around the boat again, from deck to deck, and then we laid out on the Lido Maratea, it was warm with a nice breeze... so I enjoyed. We stayed there for about 30 mins or so, and then came inside again.

We went to the casino again, and we met a kid named Tyler, who we had seen a few days earlier at the bar. He's 19 and from Toronto, Canada. He seems really nice, and there is no one else around our age on this boat, so it was cool to make a friend. Dan was talking to him for a bit while I was getting drink and tracing down our excursion tickets for the next day. I came over and we played a few slots, and then took a walk. We went to the Teatro Urbino for a bit, and we watched The "Not So" Newlywed Game! It was hysterical! There were five older couples on stage, playing the newlywed game... My favorite couple was the oldest... Ernest and Ernestine!!! HOW GREAT IS THAT! The had some funny questions..."Who was your last girlfriend before getting married?" "What kind of car would your wife say you were when she looks at you after you step out of the shower?" "What is the most sensitive part of her body?" And many more which we laughed sufficiently at. LOL

After that, Tyler wanted to go to the disco... so we went down there. It was alright.. I thought the music was good, but there weren't enough people there. It did get a little more crowded as the night progressed, but I wasn't gonna dance or anything.. not unless I was here with a group of friends.. it woulda be strange. LOL We stood in the disco, and there was a problem when Tyler tried to buy alc, apparently they don't usually ID him, but this time they did, and the guy was mad and threatened to cancel his Costa Card. Insane.

So, we then went upstairs and I looked at the late buffet to see if anything looked enjoyable, but I was not really enticed by any of it... so we all went to the main lounge area and had a drink and talked for about another hour. Dan's dad came down to say goodnight, and about 15 mins after that, at 2:00, Brimmer Hall, and to Dunn's River Falls!

I gotta get to bed now, cause it's LATE and we have to get up too early tomorrow!

Oh, PS: We also learned more about the incident that happened last week. The girl who fell off this ship.. Well, She jumped, and she was drunk. Apparently she was really drunk and her mom told her she wasn't allowed to leave the cabin, but she did anyway, and she was playing around on the railings, and decided to JUMP from the 7th Deck!!! She hit her head on the lifeboat which sticks out on the 4th Deck, and then fell into the water. Wow.
