"atlantic city" or "the tropicana"

Hey Journal!

Today was ATLANTIC CITY! Woo. We had to get up really early, like 6:00 to get ready. We met everyone from Dan's Dad's fishing club at the Park and Ride at Exit 49 on the Expressway.

We all piled into the bus, and off we went. Some of the people on the bus were wild... there was these two sitting next to us...they were just obnoxious LOL but that's a whole other story.

Anyway, we had a fun time on the way there...I read some articles in a magazine Dan brought, and listened to my MP3 player. They played Bingo on the bus, but it was stupid because you had to pay $5 to play and you had to play over and over again, and the person with the most wins would win. So...if you didn't feel like playing anymore, you couldn't sit out or you'd ruin your chances of winning.

Anyway, the trip was about three hours long and we arrived at about 11:00. We were at the TROPICANA! I made my little joke, "I hear they have great orange juice here!" about 10 times, but no one thought it was funny. :( lol

We headed for the slots, and Dan's dad headed for the Roulette. We had fun playing the nickel, quarter, and most of all the penny slots. Before long I was up $20, and very happy. Dan was up a few, but then started losing again.

We were looking for the great JACKPOT PARTY from the cruise, and they didn't have those exact ones.. they had newer versions of jackpot party which were fun, but not AS great as the cruise ones. The west things about them is the BONUS rounds. I love them. I also loved the "Reel 'em In" game, and the Robin Hood one. It was so great.

Dan and I walked down the boardwalk and stopped off at Caesar's Palace and Trump Palace. Dan played some slots in there, and then we met up for lunch with everyone. We went to a restaurant in the Tropicana Marketplace. It was good but a little expensive.

We got back out and playing, all in all I lost. Dan lost too. It was very sad. Dan's mom and dad were up. Dan's dad won over $400, and Dan's mom won $100! Wild. I wish I had that luck!!

Soon after we met back at the bus..and bus 2505 pulled up, and on we went. We left at 5:40. I fell asleep for about an hour on the bus ride back. They showed a movie on the way back...Flight Plan, which was a riciculous movie when I saw it in the theater, and it was worse this time because this was a ghetto copy that someone had TAPED from in the theater. LOL So I was lucky enough to fall asleep! :) I also read some GQ, and then ate snack and stuff. We ran into some small traffic in the city, but our bus driver, Tom, did an excellent job of getting us home on time!

We pulled in at 8:58pm to the rest stop. All in all a great event. The only bad part about the casinos, aside from the fact that they took my money.. LOL was that they are SOOO smokey! It's soooo not right to allow smoking in there, I can't take it. Claire had to go outside too cause she has asthma, and later Dan's mom and I went out for a walk cause it was hot/smoky inside. We walked up to see the ocean and all.

Quote from Dimitri the waiter where we ate lunch: "You put a deposit in today... maybe next time you will make a withdrawal."

So..after getting back we went to pick up Dan's brother at Jessica's house and then back to Dan's. I got my stuff and headed home. As soon as I got home I jumped into the shower and now I'm here journaling before bed!

I have to get to sleep now...tomorrow I have work..guy coming for the ID card machine...gotta test out some old computers, and do some random stuff. Should be interesting. Also I have to finish setting up some lines on the phone system.

Okay..time for sleep..until tomorrow...
