"block island, part 3" or "brunch and relaxing day"

Hey Journal!

So this morning we got up at about 10:00 to get ready for brunch at 10:30. I had no problem getting up and I was very happy that I didn't feel sick from last night. Our only problem was that we were soo sooo thirsty, and had no water! :(

Dan's mom and Dad picked us up and we went to the brunch. The food was yummy, except the orange juice tasted strange. I had ginger ale, instead. We talked to Annette for a little while...and it was a fun time.

After that we went to the airport and watched some planes take off and land. Then we went to a walking trail at Rodman's Hollow! It was a really nice cool trail though the woods, with nice grassy paths. We took the LONG LOOP. On the way in, we spoke to a man who instructed us to go down the road, and then enter the paths at the turnstile. We weren't too sure what he meant by "the turnstile" but we figured it was some kind of opening or circular clearing in the woods. However, when we got there... sure enough there was an ACTUAL wooden turnstile! So weird!! Of course I have pics of it!

So we had a really nice walk... we walked all the way to the bluffs that overlook the ocean. You could see montauk point, and also there was a crazy shipwrecked boat in the water! I took lots of pictures of that, it was really cool!

Jessica wimped out halfway through the walk, she couldn't make it up the hill...oh geez. So she and Brian just sat on a random bench and waited for us to finish the trail.

After that we went to town and got lunch at the Old Harbor Take-Out. It was right across the street from Rebeca's (where we ate yesterday) but the food wasn't as good and it was more expensive. Blah.

Then we were all really tired so we came back here and took a nap for about an hour. It was crazy, when we woke up the room was SOOO hot. I have no idea why, it was insane.

We then took a walk to town and Dan and I walked out on the pier, on all the rocks out to the end while the sun was setting, that was really cool!

When we got back, we waited at the Library outside on a bench for Dan's mom and dad to pick us up. They came by, took us back here, and we got changed. We went up to get more towels for our room, and then went for dinner. We were going to eat at the Mohegan Cafe, but it was closed, so we went to the National, and ate there. I got a burger.. it was good.

After that we came back to the hotel, and Dan and I went to the main house to watch some TV! We watched Match Game 74... oh, Gene Rayburn. Now it's 11:50 and time for bed. Tomorrow, checkout is at 11:00, but we don't really care, we're gonna stay longer cause this place had no service, and plus we're like the only ones still here. So...blah to them.

Not sure what else is going on tomorrow.. going to town and doing shopping.. and maybe if we're lucky we'll see Steve and Marilyn's house!

Alrighty.. that all for tonight... better get to sleep!

Goodnight. :)
