Hey Journal!

Today I slept nice and late and got up at 12:30! I did actually get up a little earlier than that, but I was able to fall back to sleep and get a pretty good night out of it!

So, after I woke up I hung around the house for a bit, went online, and then watched this week's episode of Kyle XY on my Tivo. Some crazy stuff is happening, I tell ya! It's really getting good! I can't wait to find out what this secret is, and Declan HAS to tell someone what happened to Kyle! They can't let it slide! Ahhh. There are two episodes left this season. They tried to trick us last week by saying, "Just two episodes left until the season finale of Kyle XY" and I thought there were just two episodes left.. but then this week they said "Just one episode left until the season finale of Kyle XY" so that made me happier, there are two more episodes to look forward to!

So, after that I took a shower, and contacted Re and Robby, and we made plans for the day! At 3:25 Dan came to pick me up, and then we went and picked up Re and Robby! We planned on doing lunch, but the question was, "Where?" We wanted to go somewhere new and out of our regular stuff....so Dan suggested a place called The Grand Lux Cafe which is in the Roosevelt Field Mall. We decided that if we didn't like it we could always find somewhere else to eat around there. We decided, however, that it would be enjoyable, so we went. It was very "opulent" and wild inside... Robby said she felt like we were at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Out waitress was a bit intimidating, and it was weird because every time she talked she looked directly at Dan, and like.. Ignored the fact that there were others at the table. The food took a little long to come out, but we had some good conversation while we waited...specifically about whether or not the bread was free, and whether or not there were free refills! LOL

The food was good, but not exceptional.. I got the Chicken Pot Pie, as did Robby, and Re got the Fish and Chips. Dan got the Chicken parmesan, and we shared. The Pot Pie was a sham cause it was really a pot pie soup in a regular bowl with a piece of bread that looked like a frisbee on top like a cover. It was strange. The Parmesan was a little better, but the spaghetti tasted weird.

After lunch we went for a walk in the mall so that Robby could go to Hollister, and then Re got ice cream, and we walked around a bit more. We then went to Jones Beach to play some Shuffleboard! We got there and got the stuff, and it wasn't as crowded as last time. They also had repainted the lines on the courts so you could actually SEE the outlines! They were nice and dark now!

We each took turns playing on different teams, and we cycled through all the combinations twice. We had a really fun time.. it was very cool! There were some weirdos there, like the group to the right of us a few courts down who had a little dog in a baby stroller with like a hood over it. So weird. It kept barking!

Anyway, we started a third round, and all of a sudden it started to rain like crazy, and the wind and sand were whipping around! We ran to one of the little canopy things, and there was this family under there.. the man screaming.. "STAND BEHIND THE POLE! STAND BEHIND THE POLE! WHY ARE YOU FACING THE WIND!!!" and the mother screaming and "DON'T FACE THE WIND!!!" They were making SUCH a huge deal out of it! Wow.. calm down.. it was only rain! LOL

We had to trek back to the car with some crazy rain, and at one point we all tried to carry Re.. It was funny!

We got to a spot with a little curbside pickup area, so Dan went to get the car, and we waited under the overhang!

We then headed back over to Dan's and we wanted to have a little game night! We decided to play Sequence, and it was very fun! We played three games!

After that it was time to get going! I have work tomorrow and I want to be well rested for my crazy upgrade of the computer system! I just hope it goes well, without any mishaps!!! There's also a crazy crazy outing tomorrow! That should be wild!

All in all, it was a very fun and exciting day! I'm grad we started relatively early, and had ample stuff to do! It was a really fun time!

Anyway...time for bed! Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
