"sirius satellite radio"

Hey Journal!

I can't even begin to explain what an amazing day today way!!!!  Sooo cool....

I woke up at usual time, and went to work this morning.  Nothing too exciting happened, it was a nice Friday.  If you had been reading, Dan and I were planning on going to DC for the weekend, but unfortunately that didn't work out for a number of reasons, but we decided to go to Sirius, so we would have something to do on Friday.  We had been wanting and planning to do this for a while, but never picked a day and really followed through!

So, we got to the city and looked at the tree in Rockefeller center, which was fun, although it's much smaller than it looks on TV!  It's look so huge on TV, and it was kinda no big deal in person! lol  It was still nice, however!  Then we headed over to 1221 Avenue of the America's... Home of Sirius Satellite Radio! YAY!!!

We went into the lobby and checked in at security, and got a cool little pass, as you can see below!

Then we took the elevators up to the 36th floor, and when we got out, we checked in with Sirius and went into the lobby.  The receptionist lady called, and told them we were there..and we sat there and waited, and perused the stuff they had in the lobby.  It was very cool.  Then after a few minutes both receptionists left and we were alone...people kept walking by and stuff, but then we'd be alone again. lol   We waited for about 25 mins for them to come out for us, but it was no big deal cause it was really fun watching what goes on there, and I enjoyed waiting in the lobby taking it all in!! :)

About five minutes before the show started, Derek came by and said Hi to us, then went down another hall.  Dan, the producer of the show came out and said hi, and told us Derek would come back and get us in a minute.  So...Derek came back and took us on a little tour of the studio, saw what was around and stuff, it was exciting.  We saw Cousin Brucie's studio, and we saw some of the other exciting things there.  We also saw and said hello to Martha Stewart's daughter! lol

So, Derek brought us into the studio, and it was just about time for the show to start.  If you look at the picture below, which was on Derek and Romain'e website... (I did't take it) It will help you to visualize the situation...

Again, I didn't take that pic, but where the picture was taken from was exactly where I was sitting.  Dan (the one in the left of the picture) was there, and that was my view of Romaine, right through the little crack between the monitors.  Derek was to the right, and I couldn't see Dan, he was blocked by Derek's computer.

Anyway...They started the show, and in the very beginning the phones weren't working... soo Derek and Romaine told us to put the earphones on and to move up to the Mics, so we did, and BOOM we were on with them!  It was sooo wild.  We talked about a bunch of random stuff, all kinds of weird things, they took phone calls, and we talked to some of them!  It was soooo fun!  We wound up being on the entire hour!  It was wild.  I loved it!  We talked about Tattoos, how Romaine smells bad, about her dogs, about big earring, about what we thought of the Sirius offices.  It was so great.

Here's me in the lobby....

And us with Derek and Romaine outside the studio!

Dan in the Lobby!!

Ahhh it was sooo sooo sooo much fun!  I couldn't believe it! :)  Unfortunately, like an idiot, I didn't think to record it... but we're gonna see if there's any way we can get a copy of it!!

Anyway, we then headed back towards Penn, and stopped at the Charmin restrooms in Times Square!  It's so wild, they have this crazy set up, with these "clean" bathrooms!  It was so crazy, but cool.

Then we had some McDonald's and headed home.  We were exhausted after the trip back, but it was soo much fun and soo worth it.  For more pics, check out Fojin tomorrow!

Until tomorrow.....

Goodnight. :)
