"memorial day fun at callahan's"

Hey Journal!

I finally have my wrist guard back!! I know, It's amazing.. I love it, and I can type normally once again! Ahh life is good. :)

Happy Memorial Day!!!!

Today was an extremely fun and exciting day! It couldn't have been better!!

Dan and I woke up around 11:00 and we started to get ready. We packed up all the things we needed to bring, and got dressed and such. We departed at about 12:45...Ran to Dan's house to get the cooler and some other assorted things we needed to bring, and then off we went. The Memorial Day parade slowed us down a bit on the way to Dan's house! It was blocking out route to Main Street!

Anyway, we met at the "Municipal Parking Lot" in Kings Park, because we planned on going to Sunken Meadow, and we didn't want to all have to pay a parking fee. However, we revised out plan because apparently Sunken Meadow gets really crazy and crowded on Holidays and lots of people come form the city! Anyway, we picked Callahan's instead. I had never been there, but Kristen McD said it was nice!

Those in attendance were Dan, Me, Kristen McD, Re, Lau, Robby, Joey, and his friend John.

Callahan's was REALLY nice, and there was ample picnic area and it was super fun. I was just looking over the pictures, and I remembered this, so I had to write about it... when we first go there, we picked a table and started getting set up, and all of a sudden, Lau was in peril... She had gotten her finger STUCK in the cap of a wipe container, and couldn't get it out!! We all tried to bend back the flaps, but it wasn't working.. they were pressing into her finger much too hard, and it was crazy!! Her finger started to turn purple at the top! I asked Re for her car keys, and we were able to stick the key under each flap and push it backwards. Thankfully, we were able to save Lau's finger!! :)

Anyway, we played Frisbee for a while, and then played WIFFLE BALL! :) Really.. that was great.. I've never played either Frisbee or wiffleball in any organized fashion like that before, and it was super fun! We set up the bases to be all of the garbage cans... and really the cans were very well positioned!

Joey supplied the charcoal, and it was in a bag where you light the whole bag on fire! It was cool... We got the fire going and cooked hamburgers!

After we ate, we took a little walk down to the water to see the beach. It was nice, and we skipped rocks, and stuff.

After we came back we were all sweating and exhausted! lol After cooling off a little, we played another game of wiffle ball!

At 5:30, Joey and his friend left, and at about then, Mike and Joe stopped by. We played another game of wiffle ball, and then departed at 6!

When we got home, Dan and I took showers, and did some random stuff around here. My mom came by at 8 to drop off some stuff, and we went to Panera with her.

Then Dan and I went to Target to return/exchange the lamp we had bought last night. It was assembled wrong, and there was no way we could get it together correctly here...

So, we returned it, and then went and got another one, and picked up some deodorant. lol

This wild lady helped us with the lamp, and opened the box for us so that we could check to make sure this new one was made properly! It was.

At the check out, there was this INSANE lady with some giant Star of David bling around her neck... she was buying about 500 cans of air freshener and had TONS of coupons all jumbled in a giant pile! It took about 10 minutes for the guy to scan all of her coupons, and her bill went from 138.00 to 55.00 Wild!

Anyway, I got fed up with waiting behind her as droves of people kept getting checked out at the next lane, so I moved over there... JUST as she finished. LOL But the same girl who had returned our previous light at Customer Service checked out out. Rachel. lol

So we came back here, and watched Jeops on the DVR, and now I must get ready for bed. I can't believe the weekend is over and we have to go back to work tomorrow! Grrrr! Well, at least it's only four days until next weekend!!

One last thing before bed...Eyewitness News!! They had a fire in the studio last night causing them to be off the air for over two hours!! The whole WABC lobby was filled with crazy smoke and the studio was all destroyed! They were doing the news today from the newsroom at this tiny little desk! It was wild!

Anyway, I thought that was crazy! Time for bed... check out the pictures from today posted on Fojin!! Today was such a fun day!
