"chicken and stuff" or "halloween usa"

Hey Journal!

Today was a weird day at work... It totally felt like a Thursday all day, and I kept thinking that tomorrow is Friday. However, tomorrow is really Halloween.

The day went by quickly....I got to work, and soon realized that Dan's dad wasn't coming in, because he had to go to a conference thingy, so it was quite quiet in the office most of the day.

Steve decided to turn on the heat for the first time because it was cold in the office, and when he did, the heater produced some burning smell which it always does the first time it's used. This caused the fire alarm to go off in the heating duct! lol So, the bells and whistles went off, and the fire department was called by the alarm company, and luckily the fire Department called to verify, and we told them not to come! lol

Steve challenged me to a Sudoku game, and I beat him, and then Lauren came up and we played again, and I won AGAIN! Woo! How exciting!

I departed at 5:00 and got home shortly after. When Dan got home from work, we went over to my house for dinner. My mom made a chicken dinner with baked potatoes and stuffing and veggies for us. We consumed, and it was very enjoyable. Then we played Boggle!

After that we went to two different Halloween stores to get some stuff for Dan's costume for work. His department is doing a "jail" theme. He's an officer, and his boss is the warden, and the rest of them are prisoners. We went to Halloween USA which is located next to Bank of America near the mall. It is next to a weird mattress store which appears to have no one working in it, but has the doors wide open. Odd. The costume place was a zoo. The parking lot was packed and people were everywhere. I didn't realize how many people did last minute costume shopping! The only thing we found there was a plastic night stick, and we got that... oh, and he found some decorations for the office, some fake barbed wire, which was 30% off for some reason! Wild.

There was a kid in front of us on line buying a gorilla suit. I wanted one. lol

Then, we went across the street to the old PC Richard's store which is next to the JC Penny Furniture place which used to be Stern's (with the crazy security cameras) in the Applebee's parking lot!

This one was called "Spirit Halloween" and seemed more organized but less popular and less fun. And as for the organization I refer to, it was just that their costume racks were less ravaged. Perhaps because less people were there... but most inconveniently they only had ONE register open, DESPITE having about four registers there and Three other people wandering around behind the counter talking about their day at school.

There, Dan got a hat, which really completes his look. Since he's just wearing blue pants, a blue shirt, and now has a night stick and police hat!

Anyway, we got home and watched House, good episode, but I have no idea where this show is going. I love it, but I would like a little more of something to come together now that the season has been going for a while now.

So... that's all for tonight... tomorrow is Halloween!!!
