"day at sea" or "scavenger hunt"

Hey Journal!!

Today was a relaxing day at sea. Much needed after all the adventures of the last few days!

We got up a little late. I really wanted to go to the kitchen tour, but I could not bear to pull myself out of bed. Dan went, though, and he said it was pretty cool. He took some pictures there, so that's good!

I got up and took a walk around, had some food, and then went to the Scavenger Hunt by myself at 2:00 in the Jeeves Lounge. I was the only one there who didn't have a group, so I got paired with two girls, and then a family of three arrived, and they got put in our group too. Our group was fun! We had 20 minutes to get as many things as possible on the list. We got EVERYTHING. The whole time we had to hold hands, and not break the chain. It was crazy going around the ship holding hands with 5 people! lol Everyone was looking at us like we were nuts.

The hardest item on the list, we go back to the lounge without it... DENTURES! So we get back and we see a group of old ladies, so I said... One of them MUST have dentures! lol But the girl on my team says, "Yeah but do YOU wanna go over and ASK them that?!" I was like... No. But then she realized that one of the ladies had eaten breakfast with her that morning, so she said she would go ask. So we went over, and TWO of the three had dentures!! How funny is that! So, we asked them if they would stay in the lounge for a few minutes so we could show "Beef" who was in charge of the game. One of the ladies said, "No.. I have to go to the casino." and walked away. The other was like, "Sure, I ate breakfast with you... no problem!!" And so when Beef comes back, she says, "Hi.. I'm with that group over there... I have false teeth." He laughed. She then turns to us and says, "I'm missing valuable time in the casino for this!" So weird. So he let her go. LOL

He tallied up the scores.. and we were TIED FOR FIRST PLACE. TIED!! I wanted that freaking Ship on a Stick! It's all I ever wanted. lol So it came down to who had the highest total on their receipt that they got for the Hunt. We had one for about 20.00, but the other team had one for 100!! How awful. :( We lost. But we did get Carnival Medals. Ah, at least we didn't walk away empty handed. Oh, and at the end I found out that my teammates, the two girls, were from Montreal! They spoke English so well, with no accent, that I had no idea they would speak another language. I asked them if they spoke French, they both said yes. I told them how we enjoyed Montreal, and how I am trying to learn French.

I then took a nap. I slept till about 6:30 and got up for the show. It was a Beatles medley thingy. It was pretty good. Then off to dinner. Dinner was SLOW tonight, as always. I always feel like it drags. They did a good little show tonight, though!

After that we went to Karaoke and saw Marina. All the regulars were there, Hillary, "Garth Brooks", #5. Hollister came to visit Karaoke with his sister, Evil Eyes.

Next up, a comedy show. It was alright, but I'm not really one for comedy to begin with, and this guy drags out the show.

At 11:30 we went to the Bacchus Dining Room to take picture of the crazy buffet they set up, and then over to the Casino and watched Dan's dad play Roulette for a little bit. We said hi to Inga and Ionut. They were busy working.

Then, off to bed! We have to get up early tomorrow for our excursion in Belize! I am kinda not looking forward to getting up! I need sleep!!
