"belize" or "cave tubing"

2:08AM ON the 9th

Hey Journal!!

Well, It's Tuesday January 8. We got up this morning super early for our day in Belize. Our excursion: Cave Tubing.

We had breakfast in our room, and took a box of Cheerios for the bus ride. A good lesson we learned after the first one.. always bring food for the bus!

The ride was an hour away, and the whole way the guides scared us by telling us about spiders and snakes and other creatures!! I was so regretting this excursion. Meanwhile, I was the one who said we should do it because Jackie had told me about it at work, and it sounded really fun, so I wanted to do it, and Me, Dan, and his parents booked it.

We arrived at the place, got changed and ready and then took a small bus about 2 mins away to the place where we were given tire tubes, and started our walk. We walked for about 40 minutes through the rain forest. It was really nice, the rain forest it so cool... I wish I had my camera for the walk and the tubing, it was beautiful, and would have made for some super exciting pictures. The rain forest was very reminiscent of Jurassic Park.. that's the best example I can use to describe it. All kinds of bird sounds, and the constant sound of dripping water and/or running water.

So, as the walk ended... we got into the river. About 1 minute away from the beginning of the cave. We sat in our tubes, and headed into the cave. It was scary. The water was moving fast, and we were swept into the dark dark caves! We had a little flashlight that they gave us, but it wasn't that bright. As we got in, they told us all to turn the lights off! It was pitch black! It was like ONoir all over again, only scarier cause it was wet and caveish. There were parts where there were rocks and you had to lift your butt up high so you didn't "polish the rocks" as they said.

At one point I got sucked into this corner when they told everyone to stay to the right, I was stuck all the way over on the left, and EVERYONE else was going to the right!! I had to start paddling and kicking profusely! It was insanity! Someone else got stuck with me, and we were trying so hard to get out! We finally did.

After the cave we went down a river and that was that. It was so nice, and so cool! I loved it, and it was the coolest excursion we've gone on. It was really fun.

We walked back to the little bus, took it to the place where we changed clothes... had a free lunch which was really good... Chicken and Rice with lemonade that tasted like Jello mix. LOL Then we jumped into the river off this little platform! It was crazy, but we got some good pictures of that!!

We headed back on the bus ride to Belize City, it went pretty fast.

We looked at the shops around there, but didn't buy anything, and then took the tender boat back to the ship. The ship was anchored about 30 minutes away from Belize because of the "Great Barrier Reef".

When we got back we had some lunch... I had Chicken. We then came back to the room to take a little nap.

We got up a little before 7, got ready for the show, and went. It was "The Village Idiots" and they did a crazy juggling show and they told jokes and stuff. It was pretty good!

Then we went to Dinner. Dinner wasn't so hot tonight. It was actually kinda crappy. The drink guy was BAD as always, and the lasagna was horrible. LOL It was not the best, by far.

Afterwards we went to the last Karaoke session of the cruise! Marina did a few songs, she's great. The last two songs were As Long as You Love Me, and My Heart Will Go On, and for the BSB song, she asked the audience to sing along... and so Dan and I were like the only ones in the audience BELTING it out, and you know how we get with that song!!! It was great. People were looking at us like we were crazy!

One of the best parts though, after it was over she started singing Barbie Girl with no music.... and then Dan and I yell out, "COME ON BARBIE LET'S GO PARTY" It was hysterical. I loved it. The end of the Karaoke was like a total melee. Everyone was doing crazy stuff, and tons of people on stage.. It was just wildness! This is Marina's last cruise... she's going back home to Russia. It's quite sad. Although, we won't be here..so it's not so sad for us... but she is great and must spread her greatness to all cruises. lol

So, after that we went to the Casino, lost some money, and Dan played Blackjack at Ionut's table. That goes along with the part about losing money. lol

Then we made a little video which I will post on You Tube when I get it home and edit it.... I think it's kinda funny... we'll see.

We walked around a little and now it's time for bed!!

Tomorrow is the last day at sea! :( How sad. I want to stay on the boatttt.
