"day at sea" or "packing up" or "JACKPOT PARTY"

Hey Journal!

3:01am 1/10

Well, today was the last Day at Sea, and our last day on the cruise. :( Yes, it went by way too fast!

Today we got up around 10:30 and went up to have breakfast. We consumed, and then sat outside for a while in the sun. We went in the hot tub, and hung out there for a while, then had some lunch.

I went to the room and started packing, and then went to the Towel Animals activity in the Phantom Lounge. It was fun, our room steward, Bogdan was in charge of it! He's a master at towel animals! LOL We each got towels and attempted to make them as he showed us how. I made some interesting ones! It was funny.

I came back to the room and took a shower, and finished packing. Really, packing is sad. I don't wanna go home to work, and cold, and all that stuff. It feels like Christmas and New Years were MONTHS ago, it's insane! I can't believe it's only mid January! Ah well... Back to real life! lol

We saw Marina at the photo area, and we talked to her about tonight's show of Karaoke Legends. She's so fun, I love her.. she seriously hosts the best activity on the boat.. AND she is GREAT when she sings Shakira!

We came back to the room and took a shower and then got ready for dinner. It was a pretty good meal tonight, I had GREAT chicken over fettucini for the appetizer and then had a pretty good steak for dinner.

I seriously ate so much this Cruise, I don't eat as much as I used to at home since we don't cook much! This was like food overload! I loved it.

Anyway, we said goodbye to our fun waiters Pierre and Chad. They did one last show for us!

After dinner we went right to the Carnival Legends show which was the culmination of the Karaoke sessions, only this was a big show in the main theater! It was wild. All the regulars from Karaoke were in the show. Hillary was atrocious as Aretha Franklin. A lot of them forgot their words, and the only one who really had a good voice was the last one who went up, Michael... he did a really good job. It's too bad he's all pretentious and annoying. lol

Okay, so after the show we wandered the ship as we always do. We then went to say hi to Inga and Ionut in the Casino. They were busy, and Dan's parents weren't there playing roulette yet, so we decided to give it a go on the Nickel slots. I said $20 was my limit. (I had lost another 20 yesterday.) So I wanted to stay away from Jackpot Party even though I love it, mostly because I had no luck on it last night, so I wanted to give some other a try. Dan said we should, just because it was my favorite game on the last cruise, so I gave it a whirl. I put in the 20, and that gave me 400 nickels. I was not doing too well, down to about 100, and then I got a good spin, and had 200, and then another good one, I had about 250, and I was antsy and wanted to take that money and go to try another machine, but we decided to stay, and I bet the max bet, which is 10 Lines with 9 credits per line, for a total of 90 nickels. Now, It's not uncommon to get the Jackpot Party...and then what happens is a bunch of little presents show up on the screen, and you keep pressing them and each one has an amount of credits that you win. BUT, Since I had bed the MAX bet, the credits were a little higher. Now, what happens is, you can keep pressing presents until you press the present that says "Pooper" and then the Party Round is over. (And you get to keep whatever you had won till then.)

So...I got the Jackpot Party, and the first one I turned over was like 1300. I did another, and another and another, and KEPT GOING, I had never turned so many without getting the pooper!! So I must have done like 15 or 16 and THEN I hit the "Pooper". So, Dan and I look at the total I won, and it adds to what I had had.. and I had 8550 Nickels. So we're like.... "Ummm....How MUCH IS THAT????" So we were like.. "Okay 400 nickels is 20 dollars... DIVIDE THAT!!!" So we couldn't figure it out exactly, but we were like, "THAT'S IT...CASH OUT!!!" So we cashed out and put the money onto our "Sail and Sign Card"... TOTAL: 445.80!!! WOOO HOOOO!!! :) :) :)

We were so excited. That covered ALL of the money we spent on the trip EXCEPT FOR $4.71. So all the drinks, and stuff we did on the ship, and anything we paid for with our room card was ALL taken care of except 4.71! How amazing is that!

We had it applied right to our room thing, instead of just taking the money and waiting till we got the credit card bill. How convenient!

So, we went over and told Inga! She was quite happy for us!

Then we took another lap around the ship, and were going to bed. We got out of the elevator on our floor, and these people were waving at us furiously from one of the windows, and then they came RUNNING over, and they were drunk and asking us a million questions! They must have asked where we were from about 200 times. It was hysterical though. We talked to them for a while. Wayne, Brittany, and Joseph. They were nice. We went to get food with them, and then to the Piano Lounge where Joseph played the piano while we sat at the bar. It was now about an hour later than we had planned on going to bed, so we had to depart. We said goodbye to them and now it's time for bed!

Gotta get up early tomorrow and debark. :( That's so upsetting, I want to stay on the boat! I love it. I don't want to go back to real life! No fair.

Alrighty... Time to get some sleep!

Goodnight. :)
