Hey Journal!

Well, it's sad that it's over. No more Carnival Miracle! It certainly was fun.

Here's a list of the entries I wrote while we were on the ship:
January 10, 2008 - "day at sea" or "packing up" or "JACKPOT PARTY"

January 8, 2008 - "day at sea" or "scavenger hunt"

I know there's a lot to go back, but seriously, some of them have some good stuff, so give them a glance. Especially last night's! It has good news about our time in the casino!

So anyway, this morning we got up at 8:00 and had breakfast delivered to the room again. It was very enjoyable. We then finished getting our remaining belongings together, and checked the room, and headed off to the lounge, where we had to meet for our Everglades Tour. (Because out flight wasn't until 4:35, we did an Everglades tour in Florida.)

We waited in the lounge, and then they called us to get off the boat. It was sad.

So, we got out, got our luggage in the terminal, we were group 19! We went through customs and then off we went. We got on the bus and it took us to the Everglades! (Or "The 'Glades" as I affectionately called them.)

We got there and got on one of those big boats with the giant fans. It was really cool, the boat went really fast, and moved sideways, and it was very cool. We saw alligators and some weird birds that I've never seen before.

After that part of the tour there was a demonstration from a guy who held the alligators mouth open, and did all that crazy stuff. Note: He only had three fingers on his left hand. I wonder where the other two went. Oops. Maybe that's why we should stay away from alligators.

So... that was a fun time, and we then went back to the airport. We were still early for our flight, but we checked in and got our bags taken, and we killed some time on the internet in the Waiting area.

So, wanna hear something weird... One the way here, we had printed two copies of our boarding passes (so obviously we only used one when we got on the plane to Florida.) So the other set was in my bag. Then, last night we printed the passes for today on the ship. I put them in the same folder. Today at the airport, I accidentally took out the first set of passes. (They said JANUARY 2, ISLIP to FT LAUDERDALE on them.) So, we show them to the Federal TSA lady at the gate, and she initials AND circles the date, and lets us go in. SO we realized we had the wrong ones JUST a minute before we had to get on the plane. SO, I realized what had happened with the duplicates, and found the real ones.. BUT... here's the kicker... it's apparently THAT EASY to get past airport security with an INVALID boarding pass that not only has the INCORRECT DATE ON IT, but it HAS THE WRONG AIRPORT ON IT! Someone's asleep at the switch! Imagine if someone was TRYING to make a fake boarding pass. They'd probably have no trouble at all.

So we got the right passes out, got on the plane, and all was well. We took off on time, and they said we would make up some time and arrive early.

The flight was good, I used the time in the friendly skies to take the video that we had shot on the ship off Dan's brother's video camera and put it on my laptop, and then I did some stuff with our pictures.

Our flight was pretty good and we landed 15 minutes early! :) We got our bags and my mom picked us up and took us home. We ordered Chinese food for dinner and then ate it while watching Desperate Housewives!

It was a good episode that we missed last week, however I will miss everyone's great friend Ida Greenberg.

I took a shower and went online for a bit and tried to get some stuff done.... but time is going by way too fast, and it's way past my bedtime for someone who has to work tomorrow!!

Anyway, I must go to bed... I miss the Carnival Miracle..and oh.. as we were taking off in the plane, we looked down and saw the Miracle pulling out of the port! With a whole new group of guests all just starting their fun vacation.... sad. I wanted to stay.

Alrighty...bed time!!
